Lena had been chattering at this place for a little bit, most likely because she found starship parts sexy, but still it had managed to pique Kai's interest so he decided to go do a bit of exploring. Chances were we wasn't going to find anything interesting, and even if he did, he wouldn't even notice it. He wasn't a engineer after all.

Still he was curious, so after gearing up he made his way over. No harm in poking around after all.

The building itself was something impressive. Though it had been abandoned, there we still a lot of shiny parts available. Anything on the outside that was valuable had been picked clean, leaving only the main floor having any value. There are a few windows on the outskirts to look inside.

It wasn't the kind of place you took a date to. Unless, of course, that date had a thing for a abandoned Imperial shipyard.

It was pretty impressive now that he stopped to look, but Kai was a bit more interested in the inside then the outside so he started to make his way over.

He wasnt in a hurry, and kept his eyes open to the surroundings as he approached. Maybe one of the windows would let him peek inside?

The main door was apparently there, with a fresh seal upon it this time. The windows themselves, could be reached with a little bit of effort. They were not at ground level, unfortunately, and would require a little bit of effort to get to.

The climb wasnt as easy as it looked and Kai struggled to make any progress. Maybe this wasnt worth the effort after all.

On the search for anything he could use to toughen up the padded armor he currently favoured, Temra headed out to the abandoned factory in search of some plating to reinforce the quilted fabric. Spotting someone else poking around, he leaned upon the ax he carried around in case of trouble and called out to the human from what he hoped was a safe distance.

"Hello there."

The sound of a voice distracted him, and he turned his head to offer a nod at the new comer.

"Afternoon." He offered easily.

Approaching slowly, and hopefully non threateningly, the Iktotchi draws to a distance were he doesn't need to raise his voice to compensate for the poor weather.

"My name is Temra, and I don't believe I've had the pleasure of your acquaintance Mister...?"

"I'm Kai." the human introduced himself with a smile. "Glad to make your acquaintance,Temra."

Apparently he wasn't a;; that worried about how threatening the other man was, as he turned back towards the old Factory.

"You come by to have a peek at the factory as well?"

Temra nods in confirmation of Kai's theory.

"Hoping to find something I can use for my next project." He elaborates beyond the simple gesture. "I'm something of a tinkerer, hoping to buff up this rather rudimentary armor. It's dangerous times of late."

"I can understand that, I could use a update to my armor as well." Kai replied with a shake of his head. "well why don't we look around, see if we can find a better way to reach those windows."

Kai pointed out his proposed entrance, maybe another pair of eyes would help him find a better way in.

Temra scanned the area, but his eyes weren't the greatest. "I belive our most likely paths of access are with me either giving you a boost to that window, or I could just have a crack at that security door perhaps. My first preference would be for the former and hopefully you can find something inside to lower down to me?"

"I suppose we could give that a try. " Kai replied. "I probably should of thought ahead and brought some rope though." He finished with a soft chuckle.

"Well come over here and stand on my shoulders, see if it helps." Temra replied as he kneeled down and placed his hands in position to lift Kai up.

"Ssre thing." Kai replied as he made his way over to do just that. It seemed the boost from the other man was all the help he needed as well, as he gained access to the window with ease this time around. With luck from the higher vantage point he'd be able to see something to help the other up, or at the very least, a easier way to get into the window.

You all manage to make up your way there with a conveniently placed electrical cable you had on you for just such a emergency, even managing to secure a means for your newfound friend to enter.

Despite the rain and the cold, you do manage to peer your way into the window of the factory floor. It looks otherwise unimpressive from the casual glance inside, other than most the machinery remains in tact.

Only just now realizing how brief their discussion outside was, Temra looks to Kai with questioning eyes.

"I have only just now recalled that you never apprised me of your motives for attempting to breach this facility Mr...Kai." Temra asks softly, but clumsily, realizing he hadn't caught the gentleman's last name, the term of address he usually afforded most everyone he met.

"Mostly just wanted a look around." Kai replied with a easy smile. "I dont know enough about mechanical doohickies to really know if I could make any money on any of them." That was the other mans motivation after all.

"Might pick something up if it looks neat, but mostly just wanted to see what one of these places look like." He tapped on the window.

"Should we let ourselves in?"
