Noventa - A Star Wars Story

It would finish out the rest of this portion of the afternoon for Leosha. Knowing the precision with which these groups tended to operate, at least, would give some benefit. While their numbers may be masked, it did mean that there was a particular dust trail to two speeders following each other so closely. The way the grains pushed away, it gave the indication that there were only two speeders, and given average size of them...

You are able to deduce that there are likely only eight infiltrators within the city, maybe ten on the high end, but no more than that.

Leosha cursed to herself lamenting the fact she wasn't able to continue on the trail because of the Viper Droid. The capital opened up too many possibilities, especially if the crew had supplies and clothing from the locals.

Leosha began following the sole directional marker she had and headed back towards the capital, hoping against the odds that something helpful would be on her path. Her knowledge of the precision in which these groups tended to act pressed on her mind as she made her way back to the capital.

The quick sweep showed that a group had been here. But didn't stay long. Evidence showing signs that this had been used as a staging area.

The speeder tracks went off in the main direction of the capital.

Soren decided to check the ground surrounding the speeder to see if it would give him a direction to follow after he conducted a quick sweep of the house...

From what you see, the evidence is fresh from this morning. The Farmstead appeared to have no activity going on, but there had been activity earlier.

Leosha tried to quietly observe things as she drew near the farm...

Your skills as a tracker and outdoorsperson aid you greatly. Still, the early afternoon begins to fade as you finally find yournway to the farmstead.

Just as the field hand had mentioned, it looked abadoned. Crops had gone to seed years ago, and it grows wild, a mess to even attempt to reclaim. The buildings looked weather worn, but still resilient. The sounds of wildlife echo in the air ss you approach.

One thing you do notice as soon as you arrive... evidence of repulsors from speedercraft moving about. Fresh.

She smiled back and a glimpse of that Zeltron charm came through, "Well, let's see if we can't make it that way again."

She then nodded in thanks to the group and started out on her trek to the abandoned farm...

"Hey, we got plenty of hands, stranger. Seems like you're trying to solve this problem, help us all. I hope what you find leads to some answers." The Mirialan wiped his brow again, offering his hand.

"Noventa was a place that one could make an honest living. A shame this has happened."

“Thanks. I think I’ll head up that way.” She bowed her head, “Sorry for not helping out. You were most helpful though.”

The farm hand stretched for a moment, while thinking. "There is an old farmstead maybe... twenty kilometers to the North? The Ihorian who ran it up and left a couple of years ago."

"Could you point me in the direction of the closest one?" She asked.

The Farmhand mused for a moment. "No place I can think of. There's a forest a few dozen kilometers away... might be a good place to camp, or at least hunt game."

Thinking again. "Might be a few old farms around that haven't seen hands in some time, as well. Good enough place for squatters."

She nodded. Leosha obviously had an idea for what the clothes would be used for, but she held that back for now.

She then asked, "Would you know of any area nearby where... I don't know... there'd be shelter? Like a set of caves, or an abandoned settlement?"

"No. It happened in the dead of night. They were silent, didn't raise any of the alarms. No one noticed anything was missing until we had already started our days." They shook their head as they spoke, picking up a ratchet, and tightening down something in the post.

"And that's the peculiar thing. The food stores we can understand why those would be stolen. It's the clothes and such that seemed odd. Not exactly valuable stuff, in the scheme of things."

"No one saw them coming or going?" She asked.

"Aye, we were indeed." The field hand continued their work, indicating to the stack of reinforcements for the fence, as well as the tools needed. "They cut through the livestock fencing, came in. Took our stores of supplies, hit one of the field hand barracks, grabbed several articles of clothing. They didn't leave anything behind in terms of clues. Didn't seem like they were a rustler, judging by what they took. But now, we're behind for the coming harvest, because we need to reinforce what was broken." As they spoke, the continued working, hammering away with their tools.

Other field hands were changing locks, and two were walking with slugthrower rifles, just in case whoever did it came back in bigger numbers.

“Raiders?” She asked. “I’ve been following some strange tracks... when were you hit?”

"Oi!" The field hand waved to Leosha, watching her as she approached. "As long as you aren't with whoever raided our supplies, we'll take the help!"

Leosha decided to walk up to the farmers a short distance away. "Ho there! Need some help?"
