Ruins & Riches [ME1]

"Hmm... not exactly. More like a paranoia. A creeping feeling, like you're being watched," she explained.

[Sharn]

"If my hypothesis on trans-dimensional existence of our microbial symbionts is correct, it might just have been true. I imagine the dimensions we are not equipped to perceive organoleptically have their own sentience medi-chlorians can inhabit, and to which they act as extra-sensory conduit via micro-transmissions of information through quantum energy spikes, just like to us." He smirked. "There thus may be ghosts around us, staring through the Force. For cis-dimensional staring, there has been my attention paid to the shape of your glutei."

She burst out laughing at the last part. "You're a butt man, huh?"

[Sharn]

"I reject simplistic labels. I am not defined by any foci of my observation and analysis." Pun probably intended. "Besides, I don't see a point in demeaning your comprehensive sex appeal by essentialising shapely rear. If I were to prioritise, the butt would come fifth as a sexual draw, behind intellect, pigmentation, Force-sensitivity and sense of humour. I am not dead-set on this ranking, however. Physical contact might shake up this distribution of preferences, and your but may make its way onto the box." He explained in composed tone, leading them through darkness.

Though the pair would not be wrong about being watched. A xyan hued woman, hair white as snow, peered through macrobinoculars. Her lips pursed as she watched the explorer's leaving the ruins.

While she knew how to mask herself from the Force, and the talismans around her neck and on her person would aid in her silent observation, she knew she would not be able to simply be a silent sentinel anymore.

Her pale, milky eyes returned to the macrobinoculars, watching. Waiting. Soon, she would have to Seek them out, if her suspicion was correct. Her line would have to finally engage the task with which was passed. Milennia without incident, why did it seem to begin now...

[Runi Vizsla]

"Well, that's quite the compliment," she replied with a smile as she followed allong.

[Sharn]

"It's just a factually correct statement within the scope of my personal subjectivity, but you can take it that way. Telling lies is rarely worth it, especially to an intelligent person who can dissect them. Ergo, I suppose the biggest compliment here is me being truthful with you." He was probably too absorbed by his conversation with Runi to even think they could be observed.

[Runi Vizsla]

"Hmm... I suppose that's true. It is always nice to hear something that makes me feel good and is truthful," she agreed, nodding a bit.

[Sharn]

"Veracity is its own reward." He quipped, nodding. He had other true thoughts about he but perhaps they were better kept for another occasion and location. "I'll try to break the code in this book tonight or tomorrow. Maybe it'll yield where we can find some crystals. We at least know Force-related phenomena are present on this planet with some intensity. They must have attracted kyber-users in the past."

[Runi Vizsla]

"That was my thought, as well," she agreed. "Strong Force phenomena tends to draw those sensitive to it."

[Sharn]

He chuckled, looking her, then himself, over. "Apparently so." The edge of the ruins was finally getting near. "Drop by at my ship tomorrow. I'll tell you what I'll have found out."

[Runi Vizsla]

She nodded, smiling. "I will. I look forward to hearing about it."

[Sharn]

"...and we're out." They arrived where they had started. "So unless you enjoy cuddling with me you can release my arm."

[Runi Vizsla]

She blinked, looked down, turned even darker red, and let go. "Haha... sorry about that."

[Sharn]

"It wasn't unpleasant. I have already told you what I think about physical contact with you." He smirked. "Though unless you have gothic tastes, the place is subpar."

[Runi Vizsla]

"I don't know, I can kinda dig a dark and creepy feel," she chuckled. "I should probably let you head, though. We'll get together tomorrow. Have a good night in the meantime."

[Sharn]

"I'll keep it in mind for a future occasion." He raised his brow. "Sleep well as well, Vizsla. But it would please me for you to depart first. This way you could make up for all the time you were walking behind and I couldn't watch your butt."

[Runi Vizsla]

She laughed at the idea of sleeping on the mountain. "Well, I mean, I'll try. But it's just so comfy out here," she replied with a grin. Then she waved and began making her way back along the route home.

[Sharn]

He did as he had said, watching her depart, well mostly actually not staring below the belt that much, discerning her with more contemplation than lust, arms crossed. Once even his infrared vision stopped registering her, he went to seek his own transport back to the spaceport.

[Ender]

The Macrobinoculars dropped again, as the woman pursed her lips. She cursed herself for not being close enough to plant a tracker on the transports. Closing her eyes, she would reach out with the Force, if only to feel the Darkness moving from the Ruin.
