[D1 - MA/LA] Back to the Salt Mines I

Mining town near the southern pole of the planet. Despite the subzero temperatures, the mining facility itself is near tropical, due to the massive volcanic activity that occurs. Mount Hamankarn, an inactive volcano, is located near here.

[D1 - MA/LA] Back to the Salt Mines I

Unlike many of the unsavory people that have recently arrived to Noventa, Jozk was an honest and hardworking old man. He refused to indulge on the easy way of getting money. He believes in honest work that produced 'clean' money. As an engineer he could work in various tasks and recently he was hired by a small local mining company. The operation was small, but it had no ties to the corrupted mega-corporations, that were popping in the planet, it has good practices and cared for their personel. Mr. Hunari liked that and the challenge to start small was alluring.

Jozk started with the routine inspections for the automated drills, droids and other machinery that were used in the extraction before the operations began again for the day. He noticed that one of the conveyor belts that moved the raw ores had a small failure so he devoted some time into repairing it.

With the belt conveyor fully operative, then Jozk moved to more daunting and challenging duties. His boss said that some days ago they have found a potential new vein of minerals that could be exploited so he ordered the team to drill an exploration hole to identify the exact location of the supposed new vein. This meant that some of the heavy drills had to be moved to the new area.

The automated drills started to perforate the earth and the operation started without much delays...

While the your first go at the mines was something damn near impressive, the higher ups easily sawe it fit to allow you a bit more authority on the second ore project. Unfortunately, it seems the rock was thicker than anticipated and your attempt at upgrading the machines to break down for production for the day.

Overall, it was a decent job for the day, and they hope you can come back tomorrow to fix the damage you've done.
