Runi, Quinn! Runi! [D4, EA]

[Quinn Largo]

"Hmmm... yeah, but whatever it is, it's awake now."

She watched Runi for a moment, thoughtful, before moving to help with the dishes.

"That's what it feels like."

[Runi Vizsla]

Runi nodded in agreement. "It does. I don't think it's going to be something easy for Noventa to shake off."

[Quinn Largo]

"Hmm, I agree."

I should just ask. But... what if I'm wrong.

"Hey, when you were exploring the mountains, you wouldn't happen to have gone with what's his name, did you? The blue one?"

[Runi Vizsla]

"Sharn," she filled in automatically. "I didn't know you two had met. Yeah."

[Quinn Largo]

Oh no... Where's Kor where you need him...

"Oh. Yeah, that's him."

She performed a taste test on her batch of the lunch, and decided it wasn't quite ready.

"Did you check out the ruins that are there? I hear they're quite impressive."

[Runi Vizsla]

"That's one word for them," she notes with a sigh.

[Quinn Largo]

"The one I visited had like this, room with all these circles on the floor. And an empty pedestal... like something had been there. You know, like a book or something. Shame it was gone. Probably wouldn't have been able to read it anyway, but could you imagine reading something that old?"

Just admit it!

[Runi Vizsla]

"She raised an eyebrow. "That's awfully specific. What, did it have like a book spine indent in it from being there so many years?"

[Quinn Largo]

"Could be that. I don't really know, just seemed like it might've been a book. Sometimes you just know stuff without knowing why you know it, right?"

[Runi Vizsla]

"... Look, if you want to ask something, just ask," she sighed as she set out the lunch she'd finished.

[Quinn Largo]

She paused.

Moment of truth.

"Did you accidentally unleash an ancient evil on the galaxy?"

[Runi Vizsla]

Runi sighed and looked up at the ceiling, then nodded. "Yeah, probably."

[Quinn Largo]

Well, it was good that the truth was coming out. Not so good that someone relatively close to her was involved. Potentially worse, depending on intentions, that she knew that *Quinn* knew.

In short, it was a bit of a mess.

"Well, shit."

[Runi Vizsla]

"Yeah," she agreed with a sigh, closing her eyes and pouring a strong drink.

[Quinn Largo]

Noticing a distinct lack of aggression after calling things out, Quinn relaxed a little.

"So... what happened exactly?"

[Runi Vizsla]

"It's... I don't know... We were just hoping to find a place some former visitors might have left a crystal behind," she sighed. "We followed the pull there, but all we found is a book neither of us understood..."

[Quinn Largo]

"A crystal?"

Could've been me...

"But... so... then what happened? You didn't understand the book and then... something happened?"

[Runi Vizsla]

"We found a map in it," she said. "Curiosity led us to go find what it led to. Despite the sense of the Dark Side. We both got a sense that there was something linked to it, but... We still went."

[Quinn Largo]

"Went where? Like, a tomb, right?"

[Runi Vizsla]

"Yeah, something like that," she agreed.
