[Korvalus Dunbri]

"Cal... ah, the Twelve Parsecs, oui? I have heard of it." She nodded with some enthusiasm as they approached the others.

"Who wants to go back to the spaceport with moi? We have remains of un probe droid to reassemble." Hopefully the others would share their findings now that she had shared this.

Kor nodded "yeah I work for Cal down there as a doorman, good place, you should check it out if you haven't already." He said to Fey as they walked back.

Upon arrival and seeing the outburst of the chiss Kor eyed the man wearily, Kor didn't know him and he seemed to have quite the temper.

Listening to Fey's question Kor shrugged "I'll head there with you, won't be much help but I'm interested in what you'll find."

[Cefey Raneth]

Fey tutted at the little outburst from the Chiss, but didn't give any further comment. "Ah, terrifique. Je knows the spaceport have workbench that should do the trick - and can get the tools from my ship." She looked down at the scavenged parts in her arms.

"It is of interest to many, most likely..."

[Quinn Largo]

"Just tell us where to go. I got some tools of my own if you need some more."

[Sharn]

Unaddressed directly despite his offer of aid, Sharn crossed his hands. If they hadn't figured out that he was the best for a job like this and that he worked at the spaceport, it was their folly and loss.

[Cefey Raneth]

"Shall we all go then?" Fey gave a smile. Then looked to Banks who said he had something else to do. "Do tu want us to message you what we find?"

[Soren Lom]

"That'd be good. Though I think I'll see Quinn and Kor later tonight... so if it's not too urgent you can just send them with the message." He said with a nod.

[Cefey Raneth]

"Bien sûr, Banks," the twi'lek flashed a smile.

Adjusting her hold on the remains, she gave a nod to the blue man, Kor, and Quinn. Ready to go.

On the transport, Sharn chose to start a professional chitchat once his initial indignation waned.

"Does anyone here know how to dissect the probe to retrieve the data?"

[Cefey Raneth]

"Hmmm... never tried it before on a probe droid. Mon preferences are more with computers than hard mechanics as I am still learning there." At least Lena had been teaching her what she knew, which had been helpful so far with the two of them working together as Lena knew more the accurate details, while Fey had a more natural intuition for these things.

"Monsieur have experiences with them?"

[Sharn]

"Monsieur Sharn has all kinds of extensive scientific and technical expertise on top of natural talent." He discerned that aura around the Rutian was bearing the signs of certain energy emissions. That awakened a dose of curiosity. "But some assistance from someone diligent and intelligent wouldn't be preposterous."

[Cefey Raneth]

Fey nodded with some enthusiasm. "Talent naturel is very good. And happy to assist un expert, to uncover the mystery." She didn't have any education about all this sort of stuff like the Chiss seemed to have, but she'd been told she had a natural knack for this sort of thing. Sadly by some people she wish she had been better of not knowing about it.

"Sharn, hm? I'm Fey." And now proper introductions had been made with everyone.

Sharn was pleased with the emerging arrangement, and pleased Sharn was unstoppably effective. At the airport, in Fey's presence, a small miracle occurred as if it was a routine thing. Bonus arms of Sharn's intelligent toolbox were making him look like a savant blue cephalopod, working so quickly even a direct observer could not readily tell what was happening. That could also be a variant of Chiss cultural dance for all the observers knew. The effect was, well, of Chiss-superior class.

Kor was hanging out near the pair watching them work. He had no idea what was going on with the device as he had no natural inclination to mechanics nor did he have any training on the subject. He figured it best to sit quietly as the blue man worked so as not to offer any distraction.

With the eye for detail, and your enhanced toolkit, you are able to repair the long range comm and transceiver. And with your skill, it has come back together without reactivating and giving away that the Viper has been destroyed (triumph). It works smoothly, and should be able to help locate where it was transmitting before hand, though without the datacore, what it was transmitting is unable to be determined from here.

Should wherever the Viper came from begin transmitting, it will be able to be picked up from here. If you wanted to tip off that there may be something wrong, the comm could be hooked up to a ship's communication drive, and use it to begin transmitting from your own end.

"Datacore is obviously gone. What we can know from the salvaged transmitter is that the senders of the probe have not been alerted about this particular Viper being taken down." Sharn mused without turning to the audience. He was miffed that his stellar effort yielded so little. But then, he was probably never satisifed with the boons of his labour, with superior valuation of the latter.

Fey took instructions well as they worked on the remains of the probe droid. She rubbed her chin in thought as it seemed they had reached their limit to how much they could restore it. "It could be used as a lure, maybe, but... c'est risky."

She began to wipe her hands of the dirt from the work. "Monsieur Sharn, did you learn anything from le pod's systems?"

[Sharn]

"Risky indeed, but not unthinkably so." He commented. When confronted with the question, Sharn showed no proclivity to lie. His scientist's commitment to truth ran too deep. "The word Imperator. Make of it what you will."

[Cefey Raneth]

"Something to think carefully about." She was normally a curious and impatient kind, but this hit too close to her worst fears to not consider caution. "Hmm... un Imperial-type of ship, non? So, their point of origin then."

Curioser and curioser. She looked at Quinn and Korvalus, wondering what their thoughts were.

[Sharn]

"This is one possibility. The class in itself has one been called Imperator, and several Star Destroyers have carried the name. While unlikely, the pods may also have been appropriated from one of them by a third party."

[Korvalus Dunbri]

Kor frowned deeply listening to the pair talk. Imperator was bad no matter if it was the class or the name of the ship. It meant a somewhat significant force of the remaining empire or the fledgling new empire were interested in this planet, which could spell bad news for Kor.
