Once Zygy departed with her fighter craft to take part in the dogfights of the day, Sharn took over the pilot's seat and directed the Charm to the distant reaches of the debris field, away from Noventa's orbit, closer to the pirate Venator hidden among the debris. Salvaging went smoothly, confirming the even output of the day.

Having set the ship on auto-routing over a known flypath, he rose from the seat and moved to the back of Runi's, resting his hands on her shoulders to massage them. "How about you choose your cabin?"

"Oh, my own cabin. Fancy," she said as she enjoyed the massage for a few moments. "Sure."

[Sharn]

He continued the semi-strong palpation, his fingertips apt at applying exactly the required pressure aligning with impeccable knowledge of humanoid anatomy. Their earlier encounter of the day must have led to a cortisol spike that had to be worked off by sophisticated stimulation. He was tempted to use the Force to simply banish the excess of the hormone from her muscles and bloodstream, but the regular way was ultimately more enjoyable for them both. The process mattered as much as the outcome.

"Do you require any special arrangements? Whatever comes next for this crew, we still have some time to stock up and refurbish. Persistent salvaging has allowed us to accumulate means for adjustments."

She sighs happily as she feels her muscles start to relax under his hands. "A workbench would be nice... I don't really have a lot of requirements." She tilted her head back and grinned at him. "Maybe a wider bed."

[Sharn]

"For the armour? We shall define a space in the hold just for that." His thumbs moved to her nape, working under the hair, just by the hairline, the rest of his fingertips toward the collar line. "I assume you rock a lot at night." He teased.

[Runi Vizsla]

"Ooooh... Thanks... Though it's for general mechanics, too... Tinkering is my specialty," She murmured, distracted by the contact. "I'll rock you a lot at night..."

[Sharn]

"Rocking and tinkering are great dedications to have." His fingers climbed her neck and mandible until the earlobes, then traced lines along their outer edges in gentle, synchronous way. "I have a new one too, xenobiophysics, both classical and quantum. It is a broad field, so I am going to focus on thermodynamics and organic chemistry of mating and related emotional connection, and only for two species."

[Runi Vizsla]

"Mmm... technically three, I think, but still..." She murmurs happily. "But it's good to control the scope of one's research when delving into something particular."

[Sharn]

"Let's say specimen then, my gorgeous two-in-one, though we have already had a talk about superiority of hybrids. There are over 20 genes responsible for skin pigmentation and the colour is a resultant of their separate meiotic combinations so it is likely that little Chiths will be violet, purple or lavender. I will vehemently refuse seeing them as less their own quality. Just like I perceive you as your marvelous own." His fingers began massaging her scalp. "Destruction of racial purity can be the best way to superiority. The best genes shall prevail."

[Runi Vizsla]

"True!" She agreed with a smile, eyes still closed. "You're right... You can't find the best combination of anything without trying a variety. Such is the same with genetics."

[Sharn]

"With meiosis there's no telling. Perhaps for the better though, as I adore your every allele. And I'll have deep affection for every one that shall make it and manifest. The more I'll ever learn of you, the more of you I'll be able to see in our offspring." He chuckled into her hair as his sudden desire to nuzzle was immediately satisfied. His hands slipped back to the lines of her collarbones. "In the end it's the genes that have us, not we the genes."

She smiled up warmly at him. "And we have one another," she noted.

[Sharn]

"That, arguably, is the best part, Runi. I have never lacked motivation, but with you I've discovered untapped levels of it. I want how I never wanted, I crave how I never craved. You've altered my brain and the related biochemistry. My neurons have quickly aligned to your presence in my life, making mental space for you to be there for good." He kept kissing her neck. "I guess if I do an MRI scan and you see the printout, you'll recognise the neural state I am in because of you."
