Oh... it was going to be one of these. "I think I'll have a Whiskey." Kai murmured mostly to himself before moving back to the bar, and pouring himself a one, a double by the looks of it.

This was... going to be uncomfortable. She managed a sheepish smile in reply to Dartris, though she wanted her hand back. Especially if the crazy old lady had some group of goons outside and was here because she thought her husband was cheating on her.

She did not feel like getting caught in the crossfire of some botched marriage. Part of her wanted Kai to just play the role of the boyfriend now and sock Dartris on the jaw - maybe that would get them out of this mess if Vida thought there were bigger problems. Though on the other hand, it could escalate things terribly bad.

This was uncomfortable.

"Ah, Dartris," Vida said with a broad smile. It was a weird sight to view on the woman. "You look much better than the last time it was I laid my eyes on you," she curled her lips. Accentuated her words with the elegant movement of her hands inward toward her lap.

"Why, when you last met with Rullarc he wished to know more, so he came to me," she punctuated with a pause filled with that same curl of her lips that imitated a smile. "Then I find you here, of all places, I wonder.. I wonder what it is you are doing among these.. bounty hunters."

"Aww, you're still as beautiful as ever, Vida. Not looking a day over 70. Too sweet. But yeah, that was helluva day, wasn't it?" He lets go of Fey's hand and begins to approach her. "You know, since you left me, I've been half the man I used to be." He smiled at her in a friendly manner. "Anyways, enough pleasantries from you. I'm here because I always enjoy the company of some roughneck bounty hunters who know how to drink and give a man like me a good time. Friendliest group of people you'll ever meet. Anyways, long story short, I had concerns over Miss Fey here, seeing as you know how the Empire feels about you non-humans. Something bad happened involving their captain and the Empire, and being the good natured man that I am, I wanted to stop by and see them, come and offer my support to them both in these trying time."

He gave a small glance at the drink she was drinking and grinned before he focuses on her bodyguard. "Red here was quite the helpful girl the other day. Should be proud; ran off to help some people; did her good deed for the year. I mean, If I would have known you'd be stopping by the next day, well, I'd have ask her to save it for today so you wouldn't be hassling these fine people and just come ask me directly. Comms still work on this planet, last I checked. At least, mine still does. I'm sure with the chaos going on, you have other things outside of my territory that you could be doing besides checking up on me. Or have things gotten that boring for you, yet?"

With Datris releasing Cefey's hand, Kai moved across the room as nonchalantly as he could, no reason to leave Fey alone, especially as uncomfortable as she was looking. He hadn't really liked how Datriss had tried to drag him into the middle of this, and it was likely only worse for Cefey.

Fey's hand stretched and twitched after it was freed, and then tucked away under her arm as her arms crossed over her chest. Kai was given a thin smile as she took notice of him moving closer and she took a few steps to close the distance. It seemed like a casual movement, just to have a spot to lean against the wall.

Time to watch this little drama unfold. Should charge extra for marital problems.
