(D6 MM, Ivory Phoenix) Tune Up

[Jelna Vawn]

Jelna paced around the workshop, her favorite blaster on the table. She had requested for the twi'lek to make slight alterations to the custom grip on the pistol. "I know, I know I use a blaster a bit oddly. But I know ya have it in ya, Cefey." She shook her head. "Never was one for these sorts of things myself."

With a few tugs on the sleeves of the overall, Fey opened up the toolkit to get a better look at the condition of the blaster.

"Wasn't my sort of thing either before, you know," she cast a grin in Jelna's direction. "Never got to do this before meeting you guys... working with my hands like this, getting dirty, the old Moff would never have that." But she liked it. Learning that she could do a lot of other things she had never done before, because she had a drive to learn and develop.

The blaster was held up in the light for a better look. "You're keeping it maintained, at least. But yeah, I can make the aiming a bit better."

"It'd be a darn shame if I didn't take care of it." Jelna pulled out her spare blaster, still concealed even on the ship, and placed it on the table too. "Maybe I'll get around to tunin' this one too. CorSec knew how to choose the right models." She then frowned as she looked at her main weapon. "Plus that darn thing doesn't even have a stun settin' on it. Makes up in it with accuracy, though."

It wasn't difficult for her to begin the process of fine-tuning the aim on the lancer.

"Absolutely. Though, yeah, we really can't get through all this with just firepower alone... need those stun-settings for the capture-jobs, like the one we're on now," she spoke as she worked. "... I've been meaning to ask you..." Fey paused though her hands kept working. Those deft and elegant hands seemed well-suited for the finesse needed for working with such intricate parts.

"... When you said you saw what happened, with those troopers raiding that place - how do you mean? Like... visisons?"

"I never really worried 'bout capturin' folk before. Squads of stormtroopers took care of that for me."

Jelna took the spare sidearm back and smiled meekly. "I guess visions might be the right word for them. Was smooth, like I was there myself."

[Cefey Raneth]

"Do... you think it has anything to do with that creepy feeling we both felt? Kai and Lena don't seem to be noticing anything from what I can tell," Fey wasn't sure about all of this herself. In fact, a lot of people to her seemed very unaware of that dreadful feeling.

[Jelna Vawn]

"I have no idea how they ain't feelin' it." Jelna closed her eyes and sighed. "To be honest, Cefey, I have no idea what the vision means."

[Cefey Raneth]

Fey sighed softly, her shoulders rising with the intake of air and dropping again as she exhaled. "I wish I knew, Babe."

"It's weird, but being here, I sometimes feel things I normally don't. Like how I could feel someone's anger the other day - not in a metaphorical sense, but I could actually feel it was there, almost like a..." she stopped for a moment as she tried to put the sensation into words, "almost like a smell that was tangible?"

"Smell it, huh? I've always just relied on body language myself." At least, that was the way Jelna understood her abilities.

The blonde closed her eyes and sighed. "When Zerra and I were tossin' in the hay, I had a similar sort of thing where my body felt the emotion there. Never thought I'd feel a sickening chill in the same way."

The twi'lek couldn't say she could relate to that feeling, but she understood what Jelna was saying.

And she was starting to have some theories. "... Why do you think that is?"

[Jelna Vawn]

"I have no idea. This isn't somethin' I talked about at length." Jelna paced around for a bit before looking back to Cefey. "Maybe a bit back on Jedha, actually."

[Cefey Raneth]

"Me neither. In fact, it's the first time I'm sharing this..." she bit her lip nervously.

"I'm not familiar with Jedha."

[Jelna Vawn]

"Jedha shaped me as a woman," she remarked in her old Imperial accent. Jelna wondered if she should grab the bottle of brandy for this conversation. For now, she resisted the temptation. "Do you know the name 'Saw Gerrera?'"

[Cefey Raneth]

"Some rebel-leader, no?" Fey looked over to her friend from her work. "... I was never really brief on this sort of stuff. Just picking up from what I overheard from the Moff, or from others. But he was a pretty hard target from what I recall hearing?"

[Jelna Vawn]

Jelna gave a soft smile. "Zerra, bless her heart, was not the first woman I loved. There was one before her." She shut her eyes and shook her head. "Nevermind. That is not my point. On Jedha, besides Saw Gerrera, there were pilgrims who said it was a site for the 'Force.' It sounded like rubbish to me, but sometimes I had a strange feeling come over me."

Well that certainly piqued her curiosity, since those two had seemed so inseperable as if they had always been together.

"The Force..." she murmured thoughtfully. "I've heard about it. Caught a few snippets here and there. Do you think it has anything to do with all this?" Fey gestured to the air around them with a hydrospanner. "These feelings, these odd sensations."

[Jelna Vawn]

"It's as good a theory as any, but I don't like it." Jelna crossed her arms and looked downward. "All these rumors about this 'Force' don't inspire much confidence in me. Somethin' that connects all of us? Sounds like some idealistic thinkin' to me."

[Cefey Raneth]

The twi'lek made a hmm-sound as she thought about it. "I don't know... what if it's true? It certainly feels that way sometimes. Like when I first met you, you felt... different than the others."

[Jelna Vawn]

"If ya say so. I can't say I really felt that myself." Jelna had never gotten into the habit of doing so, which now struck her as odd. All that awareness and the possibility had not really occurred to her.

She then smirked and shook her head. "Zerra said the same thing 'bout meetin' me. Hope you ain't fallin' for me, Cefey."

Fey giggled warmly. "I love your hair, but you're not my type, Babe," she teased back with a playful swish of her lekku. "But maybe Sweetie felt the same thing too."

Though she knew Zerra had felt more than just that - those two had seemed so close to her.

"Maybe I'm just touched in the head about this whole thing and should see a doctor."
