Knockin' On Your Door [Day 2, Early Night]

Street lights were all that lit the roads outside of the Medical Center. Most of the city had drifted off to sleep with few if any on the roads. It was in this late hour a speeder came speeding into the city. Shouting that didn't reach outside of the vehicle consumed the inside of the speeder and it became a shouting match for who could get what they needed said over the voices of the others. Pulling a hard right down the street the speeder came to a sudden halt just outside the Neda Ulaby Memorial Medical Center.
When the door opened the shouting didn't stop but
one of the men on the passenger side came running out to the door, dressed in light armor and a gun hanging in a sling over his shoulder. Rushing to the door of the Medical Center he bashed a closed fist against the door as she shouted, "Open up! We've got wounded! He's... he's dying, he's kriffing dying!"

Having nodded off at her desk, Raine woke up to the yelling and banging at the door. Checking the time, she curses under her breath as she moves to let in the patients. "What's going on out here?"

There was a bit of stunned shock when Raine answered, she wasn't the sort he was expecting, but he quickly fell back into it. "Crax got shot, you got a doctor? He's bleedin' out real bad I'm not sure he's gonna make it!" he shouted, hurriedly and tripping over his words a little. There was dirt, blood, and sweat over his underclothes. At least one searing burn across his neck that she could see at a quick glance that was far too fresh. It was certain this man had been in a gunfight somewhere from the moment she opened the door and the smell hit her.

Raine looks him over before wincing at the noticeable searing. "Bring him in, I'll wake the doctor."
With that, Raine propped the door open for the man to bring in his comrade before rushing upstairs. She took a moment to remember which room was which before dashing to Yara's room and knocking loudly. "Hey, we got a bit of an emergency downstairs."

"Kriffin' thank you!" he shouted, turning and starting off toward the speeder as Raine propped the door open. Banging on the hood he shouted inside, "Docs here, let's go!"
As she finished she saw the door open from the inside, and the one she had spoken to taking a moment to step off to the side and push a hand up through his hair. Feeling, for a moment, the air outside that seemed cool compared to the heat that was coming from within him.

Temra wasn't an insomniac, but years of paranoia had made him a very light sleeper and the commotion downstairs woke him easily.
Carrying his ax with him as he headed downstairs, he seemed more prepared for war than work in the padded armor he wore beneath his white jacket. At this hour of night one could not be too careful after all.
"One assumes there is a very good reason for this disturbance." He mutters to himself as he looks in on the situation. He knows the hors Yara kept last night and wasn't sure if she found the opportunity to nap today as he had, so an extra pair of claws could hardly hurt.

Traveling downstairs Temra comes upon the sight of the
man from before helping
a woman carrying
a bleeding man. Behind them was a slow moving and rather menacing calm
hulk of a man carrying his rifle in his off hand with ease and a lighter in his right.
When the woman noticed Temra she appraised him quickly, not the doctor, and then in her raised voice, "Your friend, I heard she said she went to get the doctor. Where should we bring him, he's not looking too good," she said, calm and cool. This was a woman who took charge of the situation. Still, her eyes glanced about nervously, she wasn't used to having to be aware of the situation like the man she held up between the combined strength of her comrade.
Between them, helped up under the arms by either of his people, was the man shot by the blaster. His skin was pale and he was delirious, eyes wild as his brain tried to function despite the rapid loss of blood.

Temra's speech and cadence didn't change as he looked over the crew with the injured friends.
"One of you can come in to help me with the patient. The rest of you, either you or your weapons can wait in the vehicle. And someone tell me the extent of his injuries as we get him into the O.R. while Miss Raine fetches Dr Yara."

"Can we get him in the damn bed first?" the woman snapped, blood rushing to her face in anger. Looking down her shoulders lowered slightly. "Korvax wait outside, that's an order. Tix, help me a little more then get out there with Korvax. You readin' me?" she said clearly. While the man on the other shoulder looked off toward Temra and his eyes went a little wide. "Soldier!" she shouted with command in her voice, "Are. You. Reading. Me."
"Y-yea, yea Cap. I gotchu. I gotchu," he said, the nerves holding his chords and softening his voice.
Korvak, having finally lit his cigarette, waved his hand in a dismissive manner. Turning around and walking back out the way he came. Leaving a puff of smoke behind in his wake.
"Call the shots Iktochi," the woman said as she turned back to him.

"You two, follow me." Temra orders, content to assume that the mystery woman's team would obey her orders. Leading them into the operating room, Temra points to one of the beds, surrounded by equipment. Thankfully most of the farmers had been moved back out earlier today, so there was some bed space available, although nothing resembling a private room.
"Any allergies to standard medicines I should know about?" He asks as he reaches into a drawer and retrieves a syringe. " A fairly standard mix of sedatives and painkillers." He explains, to try and reassure the patient and his team.

Moving behind the Iktochi the two moved with the man into the room. Carefully, and with some practice, setting him down onto the table. When Temra turned back around to pose his question the woman indicated Tix and waved him off. Still a bit pale himself from the fright it took him a second to come to his senses enough to listen to Cap.
"Nothing you need to worry about, the Boss is a tough bastard. Just do what you can. Never seen him take a bolt this bad and he..." she shook her head. "Nevermind that. Anything you need from me?"

A series of thuds announces the doctor, roused by Raine...
... and to be quite honest, not looking particularly doctor-ly at the moment, in the tank top she'd worn to bed and an old pair of Rebel fatigue pants, with her hair in a messy, slept-on braid. But while she jogs down the hallway, she snags a white coat off its hook, pulling it on as she rounds the doorway into the exam room.
"Blaster burn, huh?" Yara scrubs the back of her hand across her eyes and blinks the last of the sleep out of them, the smell of blood jolting her fully awake. "Human, male, looks about eight-five kilos... thanks, Temra, that should put him out of discomfort." Her green eyes sweep the room, sorting out who seems to be speaking for the injured man. "I suppose we'll worry about the medical history and release forms later..." She tugs open a drawer and begins putting on a pair of gloves, eyes on the injured man now. Just how bad was it?

When Yara arrives, the relief on Temra's face is readily apparent.
"No known allergies doctor. Still assessing the severity of the wound, but his companions seem quite concerned."

"I can han-" she was saying just as Yara Suhr herself walked in the room, now that was a woman who looked like a doctor more to her. "Blaster bolt, took it low and hard right through his damned armor. Low on the chest," she corrected her speech as she looked between the two. Hardly the assistant Yara was used to the woman was prepared to step out of the way and allow the doctor to work. Though, trained a little in field medicine, she could perform this or that task and kept her eyes moving about the room to take in everything that was happening.
The Boss was drenched in his own blood, his clothes were a dirty mess and the wound underneath it all when Yara could get to it was still profusely bleeding. It was bad. There was no telling for certain how long the man could continue to last but it was a small miracle he had gotten this far already.
[Major Concern: Bleeding Out Critical Injury, Daunting Check, due to the amount of blood and the time constraints I am adding one setback that may be removed by any means of removing setback.]

Falling into his traditional role of nurse to the resident doctor, Temra slides over the tray of instruments and prepares to hand over whatever is required.
((Assisting Yara for +1B, +1B for previous roll advantages))

"All right Ms..." lacking a name by which to address the woman, Yara just shakes her head briefly. "The good news is I've treated a great many injuries just like this. The bad news is that I usually had the full surgical suite of a Nebulon-B medical frigate at my disposal." The doctor's voice is crisp, her Core Worlds accent coming through strongly. "As you are obviously aware, your friend's condition is serious. But we
will do our absolute best to help him."
She pulls out another drawer, rummages into the very back. "I really do hate using this stuff," she mutters, rolling back her sleeve... then jabs some kind of stim into her arm.
---
D2 EN--Stim Application talent, avg difficulty, target self, alas I think I have to use up Temra's boost here.:
2eP+2eA+1eB+2eD 4 successes, 2 threatSuccess raises Yara's INT by 1 for the remainder of the encounter, at the cost of 4 Strain. It probably makes sense to also take the 2 Threats as Strain, given it's injecting myself with drugs?
I added in the boost from Temra's last roll before I saw Honor's post, but it also didn't do anything, so!

"Cap, you can just call me Cap. It's what the boys out there will expect to hear," she said quickly as the doctor rummaged through her things. Had the woman any doubts of the promise she made they were erased the moment she saw the woman injecting herself with a Stim. Far be it from her to make any morality judgements here.
"You save his life... and we'll owe you a big one. Anything you need from me Doc, just let me know. Served with the Rebels back in the day and I can handle myself around a needle or two."
[Let's go with the Strain!]
