The Fate of Admiral Patrice Verlasso

The rogue Admiral Patrice Verlasso was captured in critical condition, due to the heroic efforts of some Noventian citizens. With the New Republic having been called in for aid, her capture has prompted questions seeking justice. She is brought to trial on Chandrila, and in a controversial, yet humanitarian decision, Chancellor Mon Mothma decides she is to have a standard criminal trial, as opposed to a war tribunal.

Certain elements within the the New Republic government see a different solution for the Admiral, in that she could provide valuable intelligence about any Imperial remnants who remain at large, and some member states see her potential as an instructor to keep their own planetary defense forces sharp.
