Noventa - A Star Wars Story

Kai new that Miss blue wasn't feeling her best today, and honestly who could blame her? With how the day had gone, ad the fact that the job she found was more then a little bit of trouble. It had cost them a couch after all. Still they had both been running around enough that it was a bit hard to catch up with her to his chagrin. So he finally made time in the evening after the gun fight. Stepping up to her door on the ship he knocked quietly. "You in, Honey.?"

Fey had curled up on her bed after changing out of the clothes that now had scorch-marks from the blasters, thinking she could try to find a moment to quiet her own mind, but it wasn't really working. So hearing Kai's voice and knock on the door, she sniffled and wiped her eyes, for a moment weighing whether or not to answer.

It took a few moments before the door opened, with a twi'lek standing there in a tank-top, pants and bare-feet. "Yeah...?" she sniffled briefly, holding it together for now. "Anything wrong, Kai?"

"Just thought you might need a hug." He offered simply as he stepped forward to offer the pretty twi'lek just that, wrapping Fey up in his arms. "feel free to tell me if I'm wrong."

The hug was a welcome thing, and she buried her face in his chest for a few moments to just take comfort on it.

"I'm so sorry."

"Nothing you need to apologize for." Kai replied honestly, a smile on his lips.

"I know you think you convinced Jelna and the rest of us to stay, but if we were really concerned we would of called it to a vote. So we're all a bit responsible." He rubbed her back reassuringly. "We're all in this together after all, aren't we?"

"I know, but still... I thought I was being helpful and doing something right. And now we're in this big mess and it feels like it's all my fault." She hugged him closely. Right now the hug and the reassurances was much needed.

"Babe had been warning me about the inquisitor and I didn't listen. I was just being stubborn and annoyed. And then when she disappeared..." Fey took a deep breath as she still could feel the guilt.

"You found us work, work that we needed." Kai replied. "Ain't nothing wrong with that, heck I could blame Babe just as easily for picking this planet in the first place if I wanted to. Ain't her fault either though." He paused a moment still keeping the twi'lek close. "You could even say it was my fault for not being with Jelna at the festival, and letting her get taken. It's my job to help pull you three out of trouble after all." IT would be a lie if he didn't say he felt responsible for her capture either.

"I dunno, I just want you to know it's not your fault. Not in my head or my heart You trusted your feelings, you didn't let your fear master you. That's all pretty admirable stuff in my book. I guess what I'm saying Cefey is you did good."

"Especially when you punched that guy in the ribs, that was good form." He finished, his tone a bit teasing.

A small laugh broke through in response to his teasing. She sniffed and looked up at him. "You know me, I pick up from watching you and the others. I'm learning."

She sighed but it was with more relief now. "Thank you. I just... Get so easily upset when it comes to you three. You guys are all I have."

Kai smiled down at here. "Glad to hear." The more they learned the less he needed to worry. "Just need to teach Jelna hiw to shoot now." She was only a fair shot at best.

"Aye, and I understand that. You three are the closest thing I have to family." He and Cefey were fairly similar in that regard. "So i worry and fret as well." Especially when Honey ran off to get shot at.

"Often enough I'm wondering if I'm helpful enough to you as well. I'm not too good at this investigation business, so I have to push it all in you and Babe it seems to me."

A bit of red touched his cheeks as he admitted that. "I'm going ramble if I keep on talking."

"Babe's really good at it, I don't even know how she does it. I'm just good at the part of the sweet-talking... and playing the part as a plaything," it wasn't something she really liked even if she knew it was quite effective and it had worked to their advantage many times.

"You're good at other stuff. Like keeping your head cool in a fight, or tactical thinking." She reached up to tussle his hair as she smiled. "I'm sorry for making you worry."

"You're damn smart too." Kai offered. "You cant say that doesn't help out too. Knowing computer systems and all of that."


His own hand reached up and brushed her cheek. "Keep that up and I might insist you comb it back into place, Honey." He gently teased. The ladies had taught him alot about taking care of himself and his appearance. That didnt nesacarily mean he enjoyed it though.

Fey chuckled with a hint of sweetness. "But I like your hair - it feels so nice." Though the captain had the prettiest hair, she thought. If only Jelna would let Fey do her hair more often! "You know I don't mind combing it again for you."

Her smile seemed more at ease now. "... Thank you. For cheering me up." It meant a lot to her, just like it meant a lot to see him more at ease too with not having to worry about her.

"I know." He grinned. "Maybe we can manage some of that a bit later? See if you can come up with some other style you like." She could probably use more time like that after all.

"You're welcome." Kai replied with a easy smile. "Though I should probably admit if talking and hugs didnt work, I planned to tickle you into submission."

"I think I prefer the hugging to that," she poked his ribs a little with that remark. "Come inside, and I'll brush your hair? It will be nice to relax a little after everything that's happened in the last day..." Doing something simple like brushing his hair would keep her distracted from getting all caught up in her own head again.

"This is probably gonna sound a bit weird, but I'm actually upset over the fact that this Open Mic night at the Twelve Parsecs's been put off for the time being because of the occupation."

"Sure." He released her from the hug to step inside the room, giving a brief look around. It was always interesting to see what other people did with their space. "And I prefer the hugging too, truth be told. Almost think it would be worth while to drag Jelna and Lena out of their rooms for some cuddling and movies."

"I dont think that's weird at all. I was just chatting with Cal the other day about how we could all use a bit of relaxation. Said he should talk to you about getting that doctor of his all dressed up." There was a brief chuckle. "Seems he really liked that dress you loaned dear."

The twi'lek's room was probably not as exciting as some people expected. Some clothes hung on pegs on the wall; mostly coats and jackets, including the duster she wore when heading out into trouble, while the nicer clothes were easily available on racks, and other garments tucked away into boxes and containers. She did keep a full-sized mirror as well, along with a smaller one on a simple table where she kept all other personal items like jewelry, makeup, and what looked like an unknown number of creams, lotions, and oils.

Compared to the two other ladies on the ship, Fey was a real girly-girl in many ways. She liked perfumes, jewelry, pretty clothes, and nice shoes. While some of it were things she had taken with her when fleeing from Corellia, like the more luxurious dresses, a lot of it was things she had bought herself with her own money. So in a way, the hoarding was almost like a way for her to prove to herself that these were things she had acquired herself.

"Yeah? We spoke about that dress, and Lena, when I helped him back to the bar after we stopped that hauler," she grinned as she thought about that, "and I kinda tried to set him up with a date with her. I think he's more interested in the doctor though."

The bed at least was tidy, and she patted it for Kai to sit down next to her. "He's a nice man though. Kind of... fatherly?"

"He does seem pretty taken with Yara." Kai agreed with a nod, which was good Cal was probably a bit old for Lena, and a Republic sympathizer as well; at least as far as Kai could tell. Who knew how he would react if he found out the truth about all of them, well such thoughts were for another time. Walking over he took a seat next to Honey on the bed, offering the Twi'lek girl a warm smile as he did so,

"You're right about him being a good man, and fatherly is a pretty good description too. It's a wonder he doesn't have a kid or two running around already with that kind of personality though." Kai finished with a light chuckle. "Of course I suppose anything is possible, from how he tells it he wa s away from Noventa for quite a few years of his life. Maybe he does have a kid out there somewhere." Neither single mothers or orphans were all that uncommon in the Galaxy.

"Not quite old enough to be our father," she laughed and reached for the comb nearby. It was of course something she didn't need herself but she kept around for moments like these when she could pamper the others.

She shuffled behind him and brushed over his head again with her free hand. "Just combing or massage too?"

"Now you're just trying to spoil me." Kai said with a soft chuckle. "But I'm game for a massage if you are, I'll even offer to return the favor." It was only fair after all.

He turned t
His head to catch a peek at her behind him. "You want me to take my shirt off for that?"

Fey messed with his hair some more. "I like spoiling you. And the others. I won't say no to you returning the favor..." her smile widened into a bright grin. "... or you taking off your shirt."

She had meant a head-massage but since he had offered to take it off, she had no objections. He was probably going to be all tense and stiff after a day like today.
