It's Always Something (Day 3 Late Eve slippery Mynock)

It was getting late in the Evening and Lena and Jelna were off in Providence town at some party in a whorehouse, one he'd decided to avoid on account it was in a whorehouse, and he didn't want to get into any trouble. A wise decision or so he thought. Still he was a bit bored, so after some thought he made his way into Noventa city into a little bar he had spotted a few days before.

It didn't seem to be such a bad place, a bit closer to what he was used to, and not as rustics as 12 Parsecs. Perfect for a quiet evening. "Not too bad." He said mostly to himself as he surveyed the establishment.

Having given one of her fanciest dresses to Lena for the evening, Fey wore a simple black dress with a more relaxed and informal cut. She just hoped she'd get that ivory-dress back from Lena in one piece... she had looked rather stunning in it though!

"It seems nice," she beamed. And most important of all, it looked complete opposite of the place everyone was talking about tonight, so she wouldn't fall into the risk of thinking about that kind of place. "I like it."

"So do I." Kai agreed, turning towards the twi'lek and giving her a smile. His own dress was a bit more formal then usual, slacks and a jacket, the later to helps a bit with the chill of the evening. It wasn't pulling out all the stops, but then this had been something of a surprise outing. "I should probably add that you look gorgeous this evening too. " Kai continued as he took a moment to take in the young lady at his side.

"Shall we find a table and order a round of drinks?"

Fey leaned a bit closer as she linked her arm with his. "Thank you... and you look very nice too. I like seeing you dress up a little." Not that she minded his usual attire, but it was a nice change of pace.

"Sounds good, yes. Also... thank you for suggesting going out today, while the others are out."

"I don't do it as much as i should, must be because I don't like ties." He mused , enjoying the closeness of the lovely Twi'lek as they stepped deeper into the bar towards a open table. "Still thanks, good to know I've learned a little about it since we met."

His lips crooked into a half smile. "No problems, I thought it a good chance to get out of the ship, and it's always nice to keep occupied when the others are out on business." The waiting game was never a nice one. "I am curious if you managed to get Jelna into a dress though."

"Nah... I tried, but she won out in the end." The captain usually did. "I did get Lena in a dress though. And she looked stunning... probably going to turn a few heads there, I bet."

Fey grinned at the thought of Lena in the revealing ivory-dress as they arrived at the table, and her arm untangled itself from Kai as she took a seat. "Not going to dress up in ties and vests everyday like I've seen some of the guys here do?"

"Mmmm..." Kai smiled slightly. "I would of liked to see that." He admitted after a moment. "figured it best I give you three plenty of room though." It was safer to say the least.

At the question he chuckled, and shook his head, taking a seat across from the lovely Twi'lek. "I'd rather go shirtles." He teased in reply. "ties always feel like they want to choke me. I suppose the vests aren't too ad though." Kai continued after a moment. "Honestly though, I think I'd look a it funny if I always dressed like that."

Her white teeth were visible as they gently nibbled on her lower lip. "Shirtless, huh? Well, you certainly have the physique for that, Kai," she giggled softly.

"But yes, you were probably wise to give some space then - otherwise you might've ended up with a makeover too."

"Though this isnt really the weather for exhibitionism." He added with a chuckle. "I'll have to save that for the weight room and beaches."

"Aye, Lena would of tried quite hard to get me into a skirt." His lips curled into a amused smile. "Even if she had to sew to do so." He eyed the twi'lek carefully, and I'm sure you'd have a field day too, painting my nails or something.

"Maaaybe." Judging by her grin, there might've been a manicure or a hairstyling in her thoughts had he been around for it. "Though the idea of Lena making you a skirt sounds amusing."

She managed to keep her giggle down a bit as a server arrived to give them each a small menu, and to take their drink orders. "Hmm... what are you in the mood for?"

"She seemed taken the idea, when I suggested we could make a crew uniform if she really missed that sort of thing." He shook his head. "Though that might be because I suggested short skirts and high heels." He was pretty sure the Twi'lek might like his idea, but the other ladies not so much."

"Something we can share, if they have something like that.?" He replied after a moment of looking through the menu. "For the meal that is... I'll let you pick the drinks if that's alright. I'm sure you can be a bit more inventive then 'a beer'."

"Hah, a uniform?" she giggled. "I'm sure we could cook something up for fun." At least she was having ideas of what they could do with it for fun.

"Hmm... a bottle of wine then?" Fey looked to the server. "A local red, do you have that?" The question was answered with a nod, and the twi'lek settled on that. It wasn't often they got something like that.

"We have some platters to share, sir."

"I like the way you say fun." He teased, eyes sparkling. "If you don't have something in that wardrobe of yours, maybe we can see what they have around sometime?" Shopping with the Twi'lek could be quite a bit of fun after all.

"Platters." He paused thoughtfully. "Mayeb something with some breads and cheeses?" He looked towards Cefey. "Unless you were looking for something a bit more substantial?" He'd eaten a bit earlier, and while he could eat again it wasn't like he was exactly starving.

"Bread and cheese sounds good to go with the wine," she agreed. It wasn't a typical meal for them to have, so it seemed nice to have the chance to eat something they usually didn't have. The server jotted down their orders before leaving the pair to themselves again.

"Like the way I say 'fun'? Hmm... because I know how to have fun?" Fey grinned.

"You do." He replied with a soft chuckle. "After me you're likely the most fun person on the ship, Honey." Which likely wasnt exactly true. The twi'lek was likely a bit more fun then him.

His smile turned a bit mischievous. "Though it might also be because we have similar opinions on what's fun."

[Cefey Raneth]

"After you?" her nose wrinkled a little in disagreement as she looked at him with narrowed eyes and an amused smile. "Hm, yes, I'd say we have some similar ideas there. Not that I blame Babe too much about being... well, not-so-fun anymore. After Sweetie..."

She sighed a little. It was a difficult subject. And a painful reminder of what could happen to anyone of them.

"Well." He coughed. "Maybe you are a bit funner." He flashed a grin. "We would need to compare notes to be certain though."

His expression changed as the missing member was brought up, and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah." Kai agreed softly. "Not that sweetie would want her moping around like she is though...." Sometimes you had to remember you had a life on your own to live.

She nodded, glad that Kai felt the same way. They all cared about one another, in their own way, Fey thought. They didn't really have anyone else... well, except for Lena, at least, who still had a family.

"Hmm... I often wonder how different things would be if that hadn't happened," she murmured thoughtfully before pushing that sombering topic aside. "There's too many ifs and buts to think about sometimes. Like, what if we hadn't left when we did. Or what if we had left sooner."

"There are a lot of those." Kai agreed pausing a moment as their wine arrived and glasses were poured. "I really dont spend too much time thinking about them. But then, I'm a pretty simple guy most times."

"Circumstances are what they are, we cant really do much but face them the best we can."

She nodded again. "Yeah. Facing them as best we can. Running from all of them is... tiring. I don't want to live my life on the run all the time."

Picking up the glass of wine, she gave the contents a swirl before taking a sip. That was some nice stuff. Last time they had wine, it was a cheaper kind. Or at least one that tasted cheap.

"Lena got her family though... do you think she'll go back to them eventually when she gets tired of this too?"
