Noventa - A Star Wars Story

Sailee finally found her way to a gym. If she was going to give this planetside thing a try for a while, routine would be important, and she'd slipped too much while traveling.

This facility... was fine, though it lacked a lot of the equipment she grew up with. Human gear. Close enough, but can't rightly go claws out against their idea of a punching bag.

But it would do. She made the best of the opportunity to work on knee and elbow strikes.

Kor usually worked out at the gym that he had set up behind the bar but currently it had a recovering, possibly hostile, feline using it as its home. So Kor found his way here to a gym he had only been to a handful of times. The facility was acceptable, it had most of what he needed but it didn't have everything he liked.

The big man walked over and set the weight on the machine and started with some warm up reps just to get his blood flowing.

Sailee finished her session with the bags, and headed over to the machine next to the old man who just walked in, offering him a nod. "Hey."

She gave the weight the man was lifting a glance, and makes sure to go higher, already warmed up.

Kor nodded to the cat woman who had spoken finally racking hos weight before cranking it up quite a bit to do some real lifting. He looked at what the cat was lifting and nodded "good weight." He said in his deep core worlds accent before resuming his own lifting.

Sailee grunted an affirmative. Not the best spot for a conversation. "It's a start."

She finished her set, and racked some more weight. Just a bit more than the old man. Not everything had to be a competition, but apparently, this did.

Kor upped his weight for the next set and looked at the cat. His eyebrow rose a little when he saw the weight "got something to prove?" He said sitting on the bench.

"Got no one to prove it to," Sailee answered, between grunts of exertion. "Jus' havin' a little fun."

She finished a couple more reps, and paused to stretch a bit. Yeah, that burned.

"'Sides, can't get outdone by a human. Bad for business."

Kor smirked "and what kind of business is that?" he found the cat lady to actually be fairly amusing at this point.

"Bounty hunter. Or... ex bounty hunter? I dunno," she shrugged. "Got a security gig, but I don't know if it'll stick. An' the idea of being planetside to stay is just weird."

"Ah used to moving with the bounties eh? Can't say I'm a stranger to the travelling life myself." he looked the female feline up and down appraisingly and nodded "yeah I can see you chasing down a bounty alright."

"So you think humans are lesser than your species huh?" he asked putting together what she said earlier "want to put that to a test?"

Sailee scoffed at the accusation.

"I did contracts for the Empire for as long as they had the name. An' they don't come to my kind because they're looking to hire people. Nah, they wanted a big, scary monster, and that's all about the look and the rep. The kind of rep you don't build by turning down a challenge like that from some old man," she flashed a toothy grin, showing off some vicious fangs.

"And I've been working security, dealing with big scary monserts since before you were born. Don't think I've lost my edge yet." He said standing up and motioning to the mat on the other side of the gym "after you, if you want to prove it."

"Geez, is that what I sound like when I use that line?" she gave a light laugh, and made her way to the mat.

"Let's see what you've got, Mr. Monster Hunter."

Kor loosened up his shoulders and rolled them a bit before dropping into a fighting stance he then suddenly rushes forward attempting a quick takedown which the cathar slips and almost locks up Kor but with a deep grunt of effort Kor ends up throwing the cat over his shoulder to come to rest on the mat in front of him with a loud thud.

Kor stands and extends a hand down to Sailee "You fight pretty well, I thought you had me there for a second."
