It's Always Something (Day 3 Late Eve slippery Mynock)

"Maybe?" It was hard to say and he had no rights to share her secrets. "I do know she kind of missed the military though." He picked up his own glass, trying to mimic Cefey's movements.

"I suppose if any of us leave she will be the first though. Those ties she has to her family do run deep."

[Cefey Raneth]

Not really having a family of her own to speak of, Fey couldn't really relate. Or rather, she suspected she had other members of her family back on Ryloth, or elsewhere in the galaxy perhaps... but it was not a place she felt she needed to return to.

"What about your family?"

[Kai Wryssald]

"The other orphans are as close as I have to one of those, and that's a bit different I suppose." His lips moved into a small frown. "Most of em you lose track of, and those that you don't."

He trailed off for a few moments. "Well, it's not like you go and visit each other. Most seem to like to out that stuff behind them."

[Cefey Raneth]

"A lot of stuff to put behind us, yeah," she gave a small shrug. "I'm just... sometimes trying to think of where I'd go, or what I'd do." Since they couldn't do this kind of stuff forever, unless they wanted to land in an early grave.

And a boring job somewhere... didn't appeal to her. The 9 to 5 routine, with no excitement.

"We have fun times, and excitement, so I'm not complaining about that. Living on a ship is a bit tedious though. I'd like to have more than just a room to myself someday."

"That would be nice, more space to spread out, and well keep my things." He shook his head. "Honestly didnt think that Cal fellow had too bad of a set up..."

"Nit sure owning a bar us fir me though." He continued after a few moments. "Might be something you like though? A Bar, some gambling tables, maybe a stage for entertainment? Seems a bit more exciting then most jobs." Fey seemed to like that idea.

"At the very least, as smart as you are, you have a few more options then me." He was all muscle.

"It's not too bad of a deal, if I had to settle for something." Still... what kind of life would that be, she wondered.

"Don't sell yourself short, Darling. You're a nice guy, you work hard, and you're not dumb. Frak, I don't even have an education and there's a lot I'm learning as I go."

[Kai Wryssald]

"Well, it's not like we're talking about settling." He tired his best to give the Twi'lek a reassuring smile. "Just trying to figure out what you might like to do?" Not like they had to really decide on that now. He brought his glass to his lips, tasting the liquid again. "Not that I really know either though."

"Thanks, Honey. You're right, though I'd say I also don't pick up stuff near as quick as you." His lips quirked into a half smile. "Well, at least if it's outside of new ways to punch someone in the nose."

Kai shook his head. "Mmmm..." He paused a moment thoughtfully. "What kind of place do you think you'd like to settle in?"

Fey sipped her wine as their spread of bread and cheeses were brought to the table. The bread was pretty fresh, still warm, so it was probably baked on location? The cheeses seemed to be a mix of locally produced variants and a few that were probably importated. "Huh that looks nice." It wasn't exactly something they'd had before on the ship.

"Well, new ways to punch someone in the nose is always good. I should probably learn a few of those tricks... the kinds that won't break my hand, that is," she chuckled warmly after the server had left. "As for what I'd like to do... hmmm... I guess saying 'being rich' is a bit too vague?"

"It does." Kai agreed. "Maybe we'll have to do something like this again sometime." It would be a good way to pass the time at the very least, and he enjoyed spending time with the lovely young Twi'lek.

"Well, he can find some time for that if you like, I should be able to teach you how to punch, though it might be better if I taught you how to use a knife or something instead." She didn't really have much in the way of strength, and that made punching a bit difficult. "I could do with being rich to," He added at her next comment, a laugh rolling from his lips. "Then I can spend all my days relaxing of beaches and chasing ladies."

"Sure don't know how to get there though."

"Sure, a knife would probably work better," she agreed with a nod. The others probably knew a trick or two too, but it was more fun learning from Kai.

"Hmm..." Fey considered the problem of how to get to riches for a moment as she chewed on some cheese and bread. "Rob a bank, maybe?"

"That could definitely work." Kai mused thoughtfully. Though the pretty Twi'lek could likely just marry into money if she really wanted, he didn;t mention that either. "Find a gold mine maybe?" That could be worth something. "Or some really good salvage."

He tipped his glass back taking a sip. "I hear there is really good money in rescuing princesses as well."

"Ah, really? Then we should see if we can find one of those," she grinned widely. There were probably some princesses in the galaxy that they could save from some evil villains. "Oh! Maybe finding some old treasure of some sort?"

"at the very least it wouldn't hurt to keep out ears open." It might be a good thing that a bunch of ladies and only one fellow rescue the Princess as well, less chance of complications. "Yeah, that could work too. I hear museum pay a pretty credit for some types of artifacts." At least that's what the holo's had taught them.

"He reached forward to collect a little bread and cheese from the plate. "I think there was something about ruins here in the data, Babe gave us about the planet as well. Maybe we could poke around one afternoon?"

"That sounds good... who'd think this planet would be such a dead-end in new jobs, huh?" the glass was lifted again for another sip of wine. "I figured someplace like this would have more work of various sorts."

Well, there was always 'work' at the Vida-place, but she wasn't so desperate yet she would return to doing that kind of stuff for money.

Things would have to go a lot worse for Kai to willing let his companion do such things as well. Not that Fey would likely let him know anyways.

"Yeah, I was a bit surprised myself. Still no harm in at least attempting treasure hunting. We can run it by Lena and Jelna and see what they think."

[Cefey Raneth]

"Sounds like a plan. Maybe a team-huddle tomorrow morning, once those two have recovered from the party tonight, eh?" she giggled a little at that. Especially since Lena probably would get a bit carried away with free alcohol.

"Sounds like a good idea." Kai agreed with a grin. "To tell you the truth I'm looking forward to them being out at a bit late though."

"Its good for them, and it will be nice to not have to share the couch with three others. " His lips curled into a smirk. "Should probably stay up a bit late though. So we dont end up with a naked Lena sleeping on the couch or something."

"Hah, that would be quite the sight, wouldn't it?" she laughed softly at that mental image. Lena she could certainly imagine in such a situation. Not so much Jelna... there it was maybe more depressed-drunk and crying? "Yeah, we should probably stay up late enough to make sure they get back... and into their beds."

"Yup." He chuckled softly at the thought of it. "I'm sure we can figure out a few things to keep us up that late." His eyes sparkled with a bit of mischief.

"Maybe watch a few of those lewd holos that you like to pretend we dont know you have." He teased as he watched the twi'lek over his glass of wine.

She wasn't the type to blush, so when others might've been embarrassed, she bit down on her lower lip in a sheepish grin. "Ah, well, I'm sure we'll have some time to us still before they get back from the party," Fey's eyebrows wiggled suggestively.
