Well, it wasn't a force crystal or awesome pet, but getting back out of the forest safely was still a win. She picked up the the goggles, gave the forest a last look, and headed into the town.

After some time yet the creature's tail disappeared behind a few tree's up ahead. When she followed the creature around she'd find the light of outside and where the tree coverage dropped off back to the openness of the surrounding area. Set in front of her was the town of The Last Stop, and on a patch in the grass just before her was the goggles she had been chasing after this whole time.

Her little furry friend was nowhere to be seen.

Quinn continued to follow to the best of her abilities. At this point, that was about all she *could* do. Trust in the force. Or the creature. Or the forest. Whatever it was that was guiding her.

Quinn was pushed to her limits each time but whenever she found herself running out of breath it seemed possible the creature slowed down so that she could keep up. Soon she found herself no longer surrounded by the bioluminescent plants that once littered the forest but in the more outer region where there was naught but the darkness between the trees. That and the creatures tail, of course.

She kept running after it... probably ending up a bit out of breath fairly quickly, and not trying to think about what would happen if she lost track of the creature, this deep in the dark forest.

Through the forest Quinn was able to keep track of the creature by the flowing lights of its tail. Would that she could take a moment to relax and take in the mesmerizing sight but away her goggles, and the creature, seemed to go. Ever onward with seemingly no pause in sight.

"Wait! No! Those are expensive!"

She quickly gathered up the rest of her stuff and then ran after the creature.

Finding quickly the scanner goggles the creature grabbed them with its mouth and, with a staggered run, ran off behind a tree.

"Well I already offered you food, but you didn't like it."

She sighed. Of course it wasn't going to understand her. Right? But still, it had led her to this place, where she'd gotten a vision. What did that mean? Just dumb luck? Was this creature sent by the force? Was it secretly like super smart and just playing dumb? She didn't know. She did feel like petting it, though.

In terms of the belongings with her, there were still some rationpacks in case it decided it was hungry after all. She also had her fancified training stick, scanner goggles, and holdout blaster. But not much else.

The creature chirped, questioningly and then moved over to Quinn's belongings. Sniffing at them as she picked through her clothes, paying attention to what was there and forgetting the ones that she took.

She started heading back to shore, to the little creature and her pile of clothes, and got back out.

"So," she started talking to it while getting dressed again. "Someone's coming for me, I guess. A bad person. And I got to prepare."

Quinn sighed.

Or run.

"You wouldn't happen to know of any force crystals lying around, would you?"

Within the center of the water she found nothing more. In truth it was that she found even less, some of the lights within had dissipated and the others had noticeably diminished in their light. Except for what water she disturbed herself the pool appeared quiet, dormant.

At the edge of the water her little friend stood up on its hind legs. Cocking its head to the side as it watched her reaction.

"W-wha" she sputtered after gasping for air...

"What was that?!"

A vision, obviously. Of the future. She knew the force could send those, from time to time.

"Prepare... how?"

She looked at her surroundings, hoping perhaps for another clue. Perhaps toward that center of the water she'd been going toward before slipping down.

Following the feeling Quinn found herself stepping deeper and deeper till she reached a point, a spot as if she was standing right before the center of the pond. Before her she could see how much deeper it got, the lights of the flora inside captivating her and before she realized inspired her forward. Toward the center of the pit until she suddenly slipped from the shelf and into the depths.

Where she expected to find panic she only found...

A man clad in armor, the scream of blaster bolts reflecting off of the metal. A T shaped visor. Shouting, screaming, the sounds of combat. Home. Darkness. Danger. Despair. Beware. Prepare.

Surfacing suddenly Quinn's lungs desperately sought air.

"Well... okay then."

Not being bothered by any notions of modesty, Quinn took off the majority of her clothes and folded them neatly into a small pile. Wouldn't want to spend the whole trip back home shivering, after all.

"Here goes," she said, once done, and headed into the water. Following the feeling.

Chirping once more in response the creature slipped between Quinn's feet once more. Circling around them before popping back out just in front of her, in front of the water. Looking out into the water then back to her and sat, waiting.

In front of her the water was waist deep for at least ten or so feet. There was a welcoming presence emanating from deeper within the pool that seemed to call to her.

"Is this what you wanted to show me?"

She slowly walked up to the edge of the lake, looking first at the creature, then at the water... and the things inside.

What are they?

She thought about reaching into the water, to try and catch one of the things giving off light, but looked again to the creature... wondering if perhaps it had its own thoughts on things.

For something like ten minutes the creature guided her around tree after tree. Finding, occasionally, a bunch of rock forms that blocked passageway and called for the creature to carefully guide Quinn around it. Eventually, however, Quinn started to notice that her vision was getting better. There was more light coming from somewhere that placed everything into a light blue tinge. Following the creatures tail around that last bend Quinn was confronted with a small lake. A small lake filled with something, little blue dots that gave off a great deal of light for their size, that floated about in the water and seemed to be suspended within it as well.

Sitting at the edge of the pool sat the creature. It was about four feet in length, walked on four feet, and at about the halfway point was where it's fur layer became light enough that the bioluminescent skin was able to show through.
