"Hope it is you find what you're lookin' for, Miss," he said, tipping his hat in her direction and walking off into the crowds. Melding with them instantly.

"Hope to see ya again." She said with a smile and a small wave. "Be safe out there."

"I hope," he fit his hat on his head once more, making sure it sat right. Rising to his feet he looked around the area then back to the woman. "I'm headin' off. Got somewheres to be."

"Hopefully it won't be a bad day then." She said with a smile.

"Depending on her mood and exactly what memory she recalls, couldn't tell ya," he smirked, pattered against the table and checked his hip once. Slipping his right hand, free hand, over to the top of his hat he placed it back upon his head in a fluid motion.

Aily smiled and jabbed him playfully with her elbow, "Is that going to be helpful or harmful to drop your name?"

"Tavern, shares the namesake with the town it spawned up around it. Off on the edge of the Duskeen forest. You go following any roads out that way you'll find yourself there, no other way about it," he replied.

"You find Martha Griche out that way, well, you do this ol' soldier of fortune a favor and tell her I said hello."

"The Last Stop?" She asked with an excited gleam in her eye.

"Pick a direction," he said, half a restrained laugh in there. "Whole lotta nothin' for the most but if you're lookin' for a challenge follow the mountains north of the city. Hear that place's a whole big attraction for you folk. Down south you got some mountains too, good ol' Mount Hamankarn is down over by Charnel Gulch if you're lookin' for that sorta thing."

"Then you got yourself the forest, also up to the north but off in the east. Plenty o' folk go there only to turn around when they learn more about it. Dark, impossibly dark, and filled with.. well, not many rightly know on account of that aforementioned impossible darkness to deal with. Haven't been there in years, but if The Last Stop is still standin' I'd head down there. See what's what."

"A man after my own heart then. You know any good spots near enough by the city to get there on a speeder?" She asked with a glimmer in her eye.

"I've never been much of a city boy, if that answers your question. Spent my fair few nights under the night sky with nothing but a bedroll," he said, measuring the woman again with a glance.

"Like you know... going out into the wilderness and roughing it." She clarified with an excited bubbly expression.

"Depends a bit on your meanin' of the word, miss," he said.

She smiled, "You don't have to serve someone else. I could just end up a hermit out in the wilderness ya know. I'm not so bad making a livin' in the bush."

She tilted her head and asked, "You much of a roughneck?"

"Everyone ends up working for someone," he said, a crooked grin, "so long as you keep playing these games you'll find that out sooner or later kid. Only way to stay alive long enough that you might retire some day."

She smiled softly and nodded her head, "It's been a few years now... and while cushy has its own appeal... cushy also in this town tends to bring with it certain... restrictions. I prefer a bit more uninhibited life to tell ya the truth. The kind of life where I get to say where I go an' what I do. Do enough work to get by, but spend my time how and where I'd like."

"One part mechanic, one part finder of folk, and another part someone stuck behind. Though I reckon that doesn't make you much more different than the rest of us on that last account," he said, shifting his hand into the hair to flag down the waitress running about once more.

With a happy little nod, customary of the position, she acknowledged his request before finishing up what she was doing for another seated table.

"So that's your spill, finding yourself work off those who come through. How long you been working these parts girl? Such a wide array of services it's a wonder you haven't found yourself a cushier job someplace than can afford to put good food on your table more often than not. Not like around here. Though I suppose it's likely the City has come up in it's years since I've been here last. Noventa always has treated hard working folk well."

She chuckled merrily, "It is maybe one thing I do... but not the thing I do. The gear grease isn't a costume."

"Is that what it is you do on this rock then, find people?" he asked, a curl showing in his lip but it was hardly something that could be called a smile.

"Need any help finding someone? I got a few friends who could look around for ya." She said with a smile.
