The battle rages in the background as the PheroStar slips out of the combat zone. X-Wings, Y-Wings, and other New Republic Craft enter the fray with the remnants of the Imperial Forces. The Gladiator-class puts out punishing anti-air flak, standing firm. With the aid of the debris field, it manages to make a solid showing, holding off the fight until it appears she is ready to jump.

The Interceptor flew past through the laser fire. Coming around, the Pilot lost sight of the Cloakshape as it and her wingmate disappeated into the field and chaos of battle.

Outcome: Sy successfully stayed alive against the Ace.

When Syzygy flies in formation with Trix, Sy gains a boost die to all checks, on top of those granted by Squadron maneuvers.

Syzygy rolled away from the attack, but every alarm on the ship was going off. She fired again, but the lasers didn't hit. They never hit. She saw an opportunity, though.

"Trix! Into the debris field!"

It was the last hope. She knew the field well now. With Trix behind her to shield from more attacks, they might be able to lose the tie.

The TIE Ace looked down at their HUD, watching the PheroStar dance in and out of the targeting reticle. Moving to attack speed, while staying on target, the Ace depressed the triggers, green plasma erupting from the wingtips of the Interceptor. Several shots slam against the hull of the small craft,

Trix stands ready, to dive against the fire to protect it's wingmate.

"Shit!" She knew how fast interceptors were, but she'd never seen them go all out. Running away wasn't an option, it seemed. Banking back, she fired another missile, missing again. She was almost out.

The missile sails wide, before circling about and exploding against a piece of debris, sending shrapnel all about, causing more system strain to the PheroStar

Despair used to hit a Gravel Patch. A setback die to the next Gunnery or Piloting check, Cloakshape takes one system strain.

The Interceptor Punches It, increasing it's speed to maximum, before aggressively flying towards the escaping craft.

Maneuver - Punch it, the craft suffers 3 system strain and accelerates to speed 6

Syzygy watched the missile chase the tie for a moment. The pilot was good. It wouldn't catch him.

"Let's get out of here, Trix."

She was a little worried that the droid might not be able to keep up, but she doubted it was a priority for the tie or any other combatants.

The lock on target klaxxon blaring inside of the cockpit, the Ace focuses on trying to spoof the missile, keeping their maneuvers evasive. Dodging and ducking, weaving around the battle and Debris, the Interceptor works to bring themself a better firing solution, while keeping them safe from reprisals.

Maneuver: Evasive Maneuvers (Upgrade defense, the defense is upgraded for Syzygy as well)

Spoofing the Missile (Intelligence 3, Computers 0, Average Difficulty): 3eA+2eD 3 failures, 5 advantage

Missile is failed to be spoofed. Guided attack is up. Because the missile is much smaller, is only 1 Difficulty, upgraded once due to Evasive Maneuvers, and then upgraded again due to Tuck and Roll.

Spendning 2 advantage to "Tuck and Roll" - Upgrade the difficulty of Gunnery checks against the TIE Interceptor. 1 advantage to trigger Elusive. and then 2 advantage to add a boost die to the Interceptors next check.

Rolling through the enemy fire, the TIE Interceptor managed to tag the cloakshape with an errant, glancing shot, as the heavy fire and debris pushed the battle, pitching it into chaos and making it all the more difficult to get a bead on the TIE.

Firing at the PheroStar (Agility 4; Gunnery 2, stay on target, same size silhouette, evasive maneuvers. Damage 6, critical 3, linked 3): 3eP+1eA+1eC+1eD 1 success, 2 advantage

7 damage to the PheroStar before Armor, 2 advantage to have the PheroStar suffer a setback on the next action.

TIE Interceptor is still Staying on Target. Free upgrade on the attack roll.

The last member of the Interceptors flight exploded as the missile impacted into it, while the Interceptor continued it's dogged attack on the PheroStar. While the PheroStar evaded deftly, the Ace seemed to have the Advantage, focusing fire on the Cloakshape, as it also continued to be quite Elusive.

Attacking the PheroStar (Agility 4, Gunnery 2, Stay on Target Maneuver, Same Silhouette Difficulty, Evasive Maneuvers in effect. Medium Laser Cannons (Damage 6, Crit 3, Range Close, Linked 3): 3eP+1eA+1eC+1eD 4 successes, 1 advantage

10 Damage before Armor, advantage spent to be Elusive, adding a setback die to targeting it. It remained to Stay on Target, free upgrade to hit it.

The Zeltron grunted in frustration as the PheroStar took the hit. She was able to use the Tie's trajectoru, however, to line line up another missile shot. Seeing it strike cleanly, she veered away.

The TIE Interceptor danced about the blaster fire, until the formation came into an attack vector, Staying on Target (Free upgrade on attack roll, attack rolls against it get a free upgrade to hit)before opening up again, laser cannons barraging across the heavier armed CloakShape, several shots coming across the ship's bow. During the dodging and weaving against the fire, a piece of debris collides with the PheroStar

The TIE Interceptor snap-rolls against the shot, it's escort group following with her, as one of the TIE Fighters in her flight explodes in a flash of fire and smoke. (One member of the Squadron destroyed). At the same time, Flak cannons from the Unity and the Imperator go off around the dogfight, heavy fire making things much more difficult (Two threat used for Heavy Flak: The next Gunnery or Piloting check difficulty made by Sy will be upgraded once. In addition, the PheroStar suffers 1 Hull Trauma from heavy fire, not reduced by armor).

Moving into position, the Interceptor zips into the heavy dogfight, it's linked Medium Laser Cannons open fire upon the CloakShape.

Top Blaster - TIE Ace firing at the PheroStar (Agility 4, Gunnery 2, Same silhouette as Target, Average Difficulty, Damage 6, Critical 3, Range [Close], Linked 3): 2eP+2eA+2eD 1 success, 1 advantage

The way we will represent Trix in this battle is with the Squadron rules from the AoR GM Toolkit. Instead of having their own Initiative, Trix is in Formation with Sy.

The Following Formations can be taken:

Attack Formation: Add a Boost die to any attack made by the squadron while in formation
Evasive Maneuvers: Add a boost die to all attempts to gain the advantage. Add a setback die to enemy attempts to gain the advantage. Enemies must also spend an additional advantage to trigger Auto-fire or Blast Qualities against this squadron

To change Formations, requires an Average Leadership check as a maneuver.

If Sy suffers a hit, in additional to snap rolling, she can shunt of the damage to the Tri-Fighter. It will take it out of combat, and break the squadron.

As the battle raged around them, the Cloakshape was fired across her bow. A TIE/In Interceptor screamed past, locking the pair in a deadly dog fight, as the space battle around them raged, and debris from the field span haphazardly.

The TIE/In is at Speed 3, at Medium Range now. It is in formation with two TIE/ln TIE Fighters, they appear to be in Attack Formation.

Salvaging was hard enough without a giant space battle starting around you. It was very inconsiderate. The Strange Charm would need time to finish and get clear.
Syzygy would buy the time in the PheroStar, accompanied by the droid tri-fighter, Trix.
