Cal nodded. "Seems to me we all understand each other. We're not the sort to be doin' any harm to anyone who's not asking for it."

He gave a vague wave. "Come by tomorrow. We'll work out the details. Get a plan all put together and everything."

"I'll stop by tomorrow and give you the full details, but I'm glad we are on the same page now." He gives a small shrug at his commentary. It was quaint to have that sort of moral code, after all. "Until then...well, I'd give it within a few days from now. I will have need of the building relatively soon, so the sooner the better. Though I would prefer a concerted effort, if you would. Give it you all. If that ends up taking a few days to sort out, well, I would much rather it done right than done fast. As for cost...hmm...I'll pay 3000 for your attempt and compensate you for any resources you may end up using. Within reason. Keep a itemized report about what you end up needing and the proper receipts if there are any. I will also expect a full report written about your attempt, regardless of your success on the matter or not. This is to better my staff and security, after all, and even in failure there are lessons to be learnt."

It was a aura of professionalism about him; like he had run things before. "Further compensation can be discussed at the completion of the exercise."

"It seems we have misunderstood eachother Mr. Ribmatt, we don't do any thing permanent for money but you've answered my question anyhow." He looked to Cal "we'd obviously need to talk with the rest of the crew but it sounds like something we could do."

"Would you like to discuss the details here? We have the just of the job but is there a timeframe you need it done in? Also we need a figure to bring back to the team." Kor wasn't subtle but he was efficient and wanted to get the details mapped out.

He pauses and gives it a thought. "Oh...did you think by testing I meant to...no, no. Not that sort sort of 'test'. What a low opinion you must hold of me. Thinking I would suggest such a thing for people under my employ...I'm deeply wounded." He removes the smile from his face, giving them a incredibly serious look as his drank more of his caf. "Besides, if I wanted to start removing weeds, I would hire a gardener. If you catch my drift. I want the sort of test that a good day's rest will cure, you understand?"

He looked on. "I'll put something in there for you to take, and you'll bring back to me and you'll earn your pay. Sneak in, break down windows, muscle your way in, doesn't matter. Just nothing that's too difficult to repair and nothing that will draw attention. While what I am asking is legal, I'd rather not have the headaches explaining it to the local Rangers would bring."

Kor looked back but made no committal motions or sounds. He looke at Ribmatt "Well I'm sure we have skills that could test their performance but as Cal asked exactly what are you wishing to test? Determines how much we want and exactly who is on the job. As you can imagine I would test a very different set of their skills than say Quinn might."

"Oh?" Cal's eyebrows went up. "Just how hard were you thinkin' of making this test?"

He exchanged a glance with Kor as he took another sip of his caf. Well, he knew that the big man could be subtle enough if he wanted to.

"Nothing that would interest you, sadly. Though..." He paused. "I was plannin' on bringing it up with you tomorrow, but I suppose now would be a good time." He grabs his coffee. "I recently purchased a warehouse." He looked over at him to see what sort of thoughts would come thru his head as he mentioned that. "All above board, under my name. I plan on housin' something...well...important to me. Though what has me concerned is not the building. Fine building for my needs, but the security I've hired have been...lacking. I'd like to hire you to test them."

Cal nodded. "Well. That could be a lot worse."

He took another sip of his caf, longer than before. "I think this is startin' to grow on me." He said, shaking his head. "Well, you got anything for us? News from your neck of the woods, maybe?"

"Man cares enough to know where his interest lies." More to it than that, but he didn't need to know more. He hands the datapad back. It was fine for him to hold onto it for the moment: at least he knew where it would be if push came to shove.

"Besides, they're not in a position to bargin as they once we're right now. No profit to be made, just empty promises."

Cal nodded. "Rather have people doing smart things. That's our next move. Find out more."

He frowned as he reached up to reclaim his datapad. "What do you think your boss is gonna do about this?"

"I assumed you did tell them. Just as well, if you weren't gonna do it, I would have. My concern is only with who may talk. Stuff like this gets people in a panic, gets people angry and scared. Gets them doing stupid things."

Shaking his hear, he placed the datapad down on the table. "Now, if I were a arms dealer, this would be perfect for me. That's not my main objective, so you are in luck. Gotta turn this data over to my boss see what he thinks. Hands are tied on that one, I'm afraid."

Cal's lips quirked. "You weren't my first stop. I told the Sector Rangers, too. This seemed like one of the things that it'd be a good thing for them to have an interest in."

He smiled. "I told them because I figured they could help. I'm telling you because I figure maybe you can help, and find an opportunity."

"There were two others there yesterday that weren't from our crew. A twilek named Cefey who said she was part of the Ivory Phoenix crew and a chiss that said his ship was called the strange charm I believe."

He continues to read the data on the pad, drinking his coffee. "I think I remember hearing something about that earlier today, but I never paid it any attention." He looks up from the pad.

"Who else knows about it besides your crew?"

Kor spoke up here as he had been there when it was found "we found a data stick near a crater a crater outside of town. There is more but this isn't the place to so openly discuss it." Kor wasn't accustomed to subtlety but he wasn't stupid and knew openly discussing a possible imperial presence on the planet in such a public place could land the information into the wrong ears.

The man rarely broke from his charming demeanour, but this almost caused him to drop the facade for a few moments. "Hmm..." He gives the data a good read, inspecting it how he could. It was a few minutes before he gave his response as he reached his coffee, downing it a bit before it got too cold. "Don't suppose you mind tellin' me where you found this information."

Cal nodded. "Good enough. In that case, I think you'll be very interested to see what we have here."

He passed over the datapad. It detailed all the information his team had found out. Troop transport dropped, troopers disembarked successfully. Time of landing and discovery. Believed to be other transports. Probe droids also dispatched. Plan to infiltrate, determine the utility of Noventa to the operations of Admiral Patrice Verlasso. Operation: Phoenix Rising, could be the name of the mission, or what the mission is working towards.

He looks him over and starts to laugh. "I like that...lawman. That's a very good choice of words. Proper feel to it, sends the right message. I'm grateful I didn't have to deal with that directly back in your prime." Sipping his coffee, he calms himself down and takes a more serious look. "Well, I can at least assure you that I have no interest in preventin' people from livin' their lives. Think the boss would also be rather upset to see the current balance of this planet disrupted. So," He gives a large shrug. "I guess in that, we have a mutual interest to ensure the status quo is...undisturbed in Noventa City."

"Huh." Cal peered down at the cup. "Well, I'll be. There is liquid in there, huh?" He took another sip.

After a moment, he pulled out his datapad. "Now, Mr. Ribmatt, before I share this piece of news with you, I wanted to make sure we're seeing eye to eye. Now, I'm interested in what's best for Noventa." He sat casually in his chair. "The way I see it, you're a businessman. And business is good for Noventa. Generally speaking." He smiled.

"Now, I'm hoping that you're the same way. You want what's best for Noventa, as the sort of place where a man's free to make his own fortune however he likes. If I'm wrong about that..." Cal gave a little shrug, still smiling. "Might be best if we part ways on good terms. If I'm wrong."

"Yes, so you informed me. Something of interest that would have my attention. Such a thing would brighten up this dreary afternoon." He smiles. "Already enjoying the prospects of our new friendship. I figured it has nothing to do with my normal normal interests, otherwise why be here in such a public place announcing it." He grabs his coffee and sips it. He could only hope Cal would not be stupid enough to waste his time coming here for nothing.

"The foam adds texture to the flavor. Try making your way to the liquid first."
