Still, might as well try, "I assure you, sir, I don't have anything of the sort with me."

"Right," he said, a deep mocking laugh echoed out from low within his belly. "And I'm supposed to believe that coming from the likes of you. I know your type, nothing but trouble you are. "No," she said with a smile, "We're playing the mobster's daughter routine. They don't let innocent girls in here after all. Besides, I've got range."

She smiled and nodded, "Not bad kid. So... who's you're dad tonight?"

Honorordeath wrote:"Sorry lass," said the older, grizzled veteran of some conflict or another. A soldier, maybe even a cop on one of the core worlds back in his prime the bouncer sized the girl up quick and shook his head. "Nothin' against you personally but this sorta place ain't really your type of haunt. Dangerous people and dangerous games. Couldn't rightly let you through on account of my conscience. Trust me, you're better off."

"But, I already have friends here." she glanced towards Quinn. "I just want to be here for them, the way they would be for me. You'd help me if I helped you, right?"

Zygy clasped the man's hand, slipping him a few chips.

"Lass I can't possi-" his protest stopped the moment that he felt the credits slip into his hand. Looking over to Quinn he couldn't help but know that a girl like that was certain to need a friend in this place, whoever she was to get inside. Still, he felt a cold come over his heart a little bit as his eyes cast downward. Bolstering himself up again quickly he sighed, gripped the credits tightly in his hand and then nodded over his shoulder. Looking off toward the next guest seeking entrance.

[Syzygy enters with a bribe.]

Yara's never been particularly at ease in Upper Providencetown, especially this particular establishment where she's generally only visited to treat certain ailments and injuries sustained by the staff. But to keep running a clinic that's never likely, nor indeed intended, to turn much of a profit, you need to schmooze with the locals sometimes.

If they'll even let you in, that is.

Hmm. Does that pile of Advantage do anything? A discount off the bribe to get in or something else amusing?

Really? It was gonna be like that now? Well, best to start simple then.

"Is that so?"

Perhaps she should have started lower, so she was working up to that much; As it was, she had a feeling this might turn into something not worth her credits.

"Perhaps one-hundred then? Surely that would be more up to the sort of... atmosphere you are referring to."

And it paid off, as she fit in well with the scum and villainy sorts that were mulling about in the area. Of course, she was keeping her eyes flitting about as she took in all that there was to see. With so many potential criminals, it would do her well to have a log on the guests.

A shirtless human male approached the woman as she entered, wearing a welcoming smile he extended his arms in an open motion, "Heeyy, welcome to the Den. What're ya lookin' fer tonight, little bit of a drink? Maybe a bit of partying?" he flicked his head back toward the dancefloor. "Way I hear it the Boss man is bankrollin' tonight so it's all on the house."

Sweeping around him the young mirialan woman had quickly removed both, slipping up behind him and speaking softly and in a teasing sorta manner, "Sorry hotshot, den rules. No guns, no weapons. Don't want anyone making a mistake inside they might regret, right?" she said with a charming smile that Cal couldn't see from his angle.

Cal sighed, smiling. "Figured as much. Well, that's one regret I won't have tomorrow, anyway." He smirked. "Hotshot, huh? Suppose I've had worse nicknames.

As the lady of the house intercepted Lena before they could exchange a few words, Cal converted his offered hand into adjusting his neckcloth. It wasn't the first time this week a pretty twi'lek had blocked his attempt to flirt. At least this one was a real person.

Cal looked around, surveying the party, although Lena and her dress had the majority of his attention. His eyes flickered as she moved; he flashed her a quick sly grin.

Lena Arcturus wrote:"A pleasure Madame." So t he lady of the house appeared. "Thankyou, but I wouldn't want to impose. Besides, I am getting t he hang of this dress." She turned, her shoulders coyly flashing towards Cal then the madame as she did so. "And I promised my friend I'd return it in one piece." She eyed around for a drink, smirking a she saw Cal bereft of his many attachments.

Boys and their toys.

"Wearing it like that, darling, it is going to tear," she said with a soft, almost teasingly insidious smile. "As you desire," she waved off her own insistence. "I wonder, what is it about that man," she said, her eyes flitting over toward where Cal was, "that has you so enamored with one another."

Coming back around to his front after offloading the items onto another girl the Mirialan woman looked up into his eyes with a light, warm smile, "What is it that's got your eye Hotshot? Girl of your life over there, or she just got the..." she giggled into a turned down hand, "apple of your eye?"

With an effort, Cal tore his gaze away from the gorgeous redhead. "Matter of fact, she's only come across my path recently. Just started visiting my bar. With any luck, she'll become a regular. I'd been hoping to get a chance to see more of her." He managed to say that with a straight face. Mostly.

Looking down at the pretty Mirialan woman, Cal gave her a slightly wry smile. "But don't let me keep you. You've probably got other guests to greet, huh? No need to spend your evening chatting with an old fellow like myself." She seemed charming, pleasant, and interested, but of course she was paid to seem all of those things.

"Remember, this is the Den, where everything you could hope for or desire is at," she brought a hand up and brushed two fingers along his chin with a teasingly cheerful smile, "the touch of a finger," she finished as she slipped away past him. Freeing him up to pursue his other interests to his hearts content.

Zygy began walking around, watching everyone interact and getting a sense of the mood of the room. She had no idea what this was. It was that curiosity that brought her. Hopefully, she'd have a little fun.

"I'll keep that in mind." Cal said dryly. He kept his smile as her fingers brushed along the stubble on his chin. As she left, he sighed, shaking his head. That seemed about right.

He went off in search of where the drinks were. Seemed to be a good place to mingle. And if he couldn't have a gun in his hand, a glass would do almost as well.
