Syzygy walked through the collection of podracers on display before the race. Some were being worked on, others were prepped and ready to race and a few appeared to simply be there for show. It looked like there were more pods than racers, which made her wonder if she might be able to race.

She talked with a few of the locals, who were all too happy to show off their machines. They told her about the enhancements they'd built into the engines or the frame, but none seemed willing to trust the unfamiliar pilot.

She kept looking for anyone who might consider sponsoring her, but as race time drew closer, they became less interested in anything other than the race.
