Posted: Mon Sep 17, 2018 12:01 pmBefore the Clone Wars, the town that once rested here was a peaceful place. This was where people who wanted to live comfortable lives once settled. However, that changed during the battle that happened in the skies above at the end of the Clone Wars. Only the town hall, a large and fortified building, stood against the force of the crashed ship flattening everything in it's path. Though it was not such an impressive building the force, angle, and damage already done to the ship aided it in being the snag that snapped the ship into two.
After the event much of the town was leveled and there was too much debris for the people who survived to rebuild. Many left the town, abandoned for years. Eventually life returned to the old buildings. First reclaiming old streets and using the wreckage to form new structures and repair old ones. Scavengers made permanent homes so that they might scour the ship for all that was valuable. This lasted for some years before the Black Sun moved into the ship themselves, claiming it for their own, but the work the scavengers made into creating the beginnings of what would become Providencetown could not be halted. Eventually, as people continued to flock here for various reasons, it became a bustling hub of activity.
