The music gets turn up louder as he drown out the Chiss entirely and drives off into the city proper.

It was going to be a long day of paperwork for the two of you...

/Scene

((Each of you are charged with Breaking and Entering, though with a small investigation on their end, your story does appear to hold up and you are let go. However, until they complete the investigation, you are given a tracker you must wear and asked not to leave orbit until you come see them when called, which is when you decide to make a thread at the govt building on D2. It's a lovely ankle bracelet that can be hidden by your clothes. Should you choose to tamper with it, let me know.))

"I have preference for intelligent people." Sharn retorted.

"We'll just have to manage somehow without your gifts for a little while. Hell, if your story checks out, who knows...but until then, we'll just have to leave it to chance that nobody else noticed what it was you were doing." He placed his stun pistol back into its holster and took a deep breath of stress. Having to work these long hours was killing him, and pulling a stun gun out on someone wasn't the best way to handle things, but just something about that blue guy just made it clear he was going to be the stubborn one.

He plopped himself in the truck shortly after looking back at the two of them. "I hope ya'll like Dusk." He smiles as the speakers of the truck continues on to play a dark and moody sort of music with a few string instruments thrown into it. Could be for his enjoyment, but was likely for the benefit of not hearing the Chiss speak for the remainder of the ride.

Being applied violence to, Sharn went fully scornful quiet passive-aggressive, looking at the officer with You are a misbehaving ape gaze but got into the truck, counting on a later twist of his fate. "Preventing me from locking up the facility shall be your responsibility, officer, if key hardware is lost to looters. Handling this door requires a level of technical skill no-one on this planet but me possesses."

'' Like i said, no need for violence, Officer Hamehatt.'' He complied with the orders. '' I do not know this man and certainly he speaks without noticing the situation, but unlike him i will follow your orders.'' He said quite calmed and with a total neutral tone as he approached without any sign of exterior violence. '' We could continue this conversation in your station with your superiors and with the local government.'' He adds as he got into the vehicle.

"Ranger Hamehatt, at your service Mr. Hunari. Now, regardless if I may or may not agree with your opinion, unfortunately, my hands are tied on the situation. Now, do us all a favor, git in the truck, go down to the station, and I'll see to it you get a fair chance explaining yourself down there."

His attention goes back to the Chiss, looking down on him. "That's it..." He reaches out for his Heavy Stun pistol and points it at Sharn. knocking him directly on the ground. "I ain't asking you again, friend, now git in that truck now!" He motions the gun to the old man as well. "I ain't playin' this thing's got a helluva kick."

Chiss arguments were oh so very Chiss. Sharn at his best, with atrociousness on the level of his last talk with Jerjerrod.

'' I didn't hear your name officer...?'' Jozk asked politely. '' I'm Jozk Hunari, a citizen of Noventa. A bit of clarification, officer, this person here is not my friend, i do not know him. But you are not wrong, this factory indeed was for many years a prime boom for the local economy. I worked here, as a free man, and as a slave as well.'' He commented.

'' While i can assure you my intentions are not about claiming anything about this factory, because i do not have any legal rights to it. This factory belongs to the people of Noventa and only they can decide what to do with the content of this factory. The Republic and the Empire are gone. They have no rights on this planet and they don't care about this planet. Perhaps it is not a bad idea to continue this conversation in your station with your superior officers and maybe with the goverment.'' The old man said. He didn't bother to comment about the chiss blatant claiming of a factory that by all rights was not his. This was a matter of popular decision. Not who planted the first flag.

"Your registers may be outdated, totally obsolete, given how you don't follow the real estate landscape in the galaxy." Sharn retorted. "And my intent here is precisely to do an inventory and prepare an assessment of how to restart it for the benefit of local economy. The idea of it being looted is deeply revulsive precisely because the assets could be meaningfully put to work for a higher purpose. So before I consider taking you up on the offer of taxi service, let me seal it all up good, which I had been in the process of when you appeared!"

"All these damn fools thinkin' it's prime for scrappin' but never bother to come out and ask us." He turned to the Chiss running his mouth and listened to the his comment, nodding his head in interest. "Well, if you actually bothered to check on the area with our government office. Don't know if you've seen it, big building, hard to miss it here in the city, you'd know that this here building and all the contents in it is currently being held by a private holding company! I can't say I'm as attune with the news on Sienar as you seem to be, but if my files say private property, well, I gotta follow the rules for it. Damn shame too, if you ask me, this thing made a helluva boon to our lo-cal economy."

Nodding his head out to the two of them. "But that is neither here nor there, sir." There a large smirk on his face as he stares down the Chiss. "Buuut I tell you what, Mister Blue. How bout I give you and your old friend here a lift down to the station and we can sort the rest of it out. Now how does that sound?" His tone seemed to be imply that he didn't give a damn one way or another about how it sounded, a large smirk on his face appeared as he waited for his response.

Sharn grunted and stepped out.

"Whose private property exactly?" He shouted out. "Following Galactic Concordance, Sienar Fleet Systems was reorganised into separate legal entities, and there has clearly been no ownership assertion during the 2-year expiry date for asset calculation for the purpose of taxation and external audit, thereby rendering this abandoned factory rerum nullis. If it is anyone's ownership it is mine now, for I have successfully asserted my control over it today, and shall file for making it recognised with proper authorities. So instead of waving big authoritative words at me, officer, consult your legal department in the planetary administration, which I would have a word with on some crucial issues of planetary concern. If you've come to give me a lift, I'll allow it."

Jozk hear the siren and hear the sector ranger's voice demanding that they got out of the factory. The old engineer complied and went out of the factory following all orders demanding by the guy with a gun. He went downstairs and then crossed the outer blast door.

'' No need for violence, son.'' Jozk said as he went out of the factory. He was calm and showing no sign of violence. He was not intimidated either.

Technically he was trespassing private property, although the legality of to whom that property belonged and if it was acquired in good will was most likely a whitewash. Also if the sector rangers had a say in anything that was happening here was also in doubt. To what extent an entity from the Republic and Empire had any sort of legal rights here to demand anything except out of point of a blaster was also dubious at best. At least in Jozk's mind.

It doesn't take all that long, but Sharn is able are able to create himself a back door to the entrance, as well as establish a bit more security to the entrance to make it tougher than most.

Shortly after Sharn finished what he was doing, a large siren blared out from the outside and a voice echoed out into the building.

"This is the Sector Rangers! You're on private property you damn fools! Get outta there and show me your hands or we're coming inta getcha!"

Restoring the lock seemed harder than Sharn was willing to admit. This was infuriating! He fumed and grumbled in Cheunh, likely letting Jozk exit unmolested as he kept struggling with the lock.

He was not able to shut it good but he was able to program in an interesting secondary authorisation protocol, a failsafe...

Since his scanner didn't show any sign of electromagnetic signal that could say that there was some security measures in place, then Jozk advances, still cautious though, maybe there where hidden features somewhere.

He approaches the blast door...

You manage to successfully get the power back onto the panel to do some rewiring. It won't be a easy task, though...

((Hard check to rework the blast doors to your favor, once upgraded. Skullduggery to hotwire it close, computers to slice your way to control it.))

Upstairs, Jozk scans the area for any signals. It actually appeared that, for the most part, the entire building has no power running thru it. Likely they shut it off completely before sealing off the building. Thankfully, though, thru your scans that most of the security features of this building itself was sealing the door tight.

The Chiss didn't follow. Instead, he would work on making the door sealable with reprogrammed lock. If the old man was so gung-ho about scouring the factory and showed no gratitude for Sharn's feat in opening the gates, bah, was rudely dismissive and asserting bragging rights about the place, Sharn was keen on keeping him inside for an extensive period of time.

As there seemed to be no power on-line, Sharn sought ways to recircuit some from emergency solar panels. [D-Flip]

Not waiting for the chiss' reply, Jozk advanced, but still wary about probable defenses. He climbed the stairs towards the second floor knowing that the security room was there, if the chiss wanted to follow him, he didn't mind. He didn't move directly though, first he peeked from a corner the hall that goes to the blast doors and looked if there was any sort of indication of additional or secret security measures that he didn't remember since his time here.

He took out his general purpose scanner to check if he could detect any form of electromagnetic signals. Security droids could be there after all...
