Noventa - A Star Wars Story

"Yeah, I think I'm out too."

"Uh huh," Fey grinned but didn't call her out on the lie. "I'm heading back now. What about [i]tu[/i]?"

Quinn wasn't an experienced smoker, but she could fake it well enough to not end up in a coughing fit.

"Oh, I just wanted to see what gambling's like," she said, unconvincingly.

A cigarette was passed over to Quinn, and with the flick of her lighter, it was lit.

"So, what brings [i]une fille[/i] like yourself to these places, little Quinn? Life at the 12 Parsecs that boring?"

"Sure," she said, taking the offer.

Fey on the other hand had no idea what it meant. Jelna was the only one she had known to have that kind of feel to her, until she arrived on this planet... then it had suddenly been more people.

"Cigarette?" she offered the girl, who despite her young age seemed to be the type to have her vices already.

"He likes to think so," she said with a smile.

Quinn felt that same feeling of course. She knew what it *could* mean, but it was always hard to tell if it actually meant much at all.

"Oho? He is your... hummm... parent-figure, [i]non[/i]?" Parent didn't sound exactly right, at least since they didn't seem to be related. But she had the vibes of a protective kind from Kor.

And there was a funny feeling about Quinn.

Fey shrugged as she fished out a cigarette from her jacket's pocket as she stood up. "But [i]oui[/i], it's fun game. I will come back too."

Quinn gave a big smile around the table as she collected her credits. Her winnings this round were almost as much as last round. After deducting her own buy in, she was left with a 700 credit profit for the round. On top of last round. Yep, Quinn was feeling pretty good about herself.

"This game's pretty fun! I think I'll come back some time."

She looked up at Cefey. "Oh, that's okay. He's not happy about a lot of things."

The twi'lek giggled at the angry stomping from the ugor. He was a good player, but it seemed he had underestimated the kid. A mistake he probably wouldn't make again, she figured.

"Hm..." she looked at Quinn, "shall [i]je[/i] follow [i]tu[/i] home safely, Quinn? It is late hour for little girls. [i]Monsieur[/i] Korvalus will probably not be happy to know you were here."

It wasn't much luck for the Ugor either, pulling up absolutely nothing while trying to be sly about it. "I think you've taken ebough of my credits tonite, little hubman." The voice appears to be angry and frustrated and he nods to everyone at the table and begins to stomp off angrily towards the exit.

Fey had lost her groove with the game from leaving and returning, and she was unable to make any winnings on this game.

"[i]Mon dieu[/i], I think I will call this a night."

If only she'd played coughcheatedcough so well on the last round. But hey, credits were credits, and Quinn loved taking them from others.

Quinn threw in her 100.

The dealer nods and, at the announcement of the price drop, several people who had watched the game came back to the table once more. A few of them even clapping at your performance for that round, Quinn.

It was quite the impressive display, for sure. Even if your stress levels have jumped a touch from managing to pull off that con.

"Very well, bet is 100. Everyone throw in and we'll begin."

"You already won your money back though," she said, all innocent.

She looked up at the returning twi'lek with a smile, before turning back to the Ugor.

"But I can do 100."

As the game had been going on, Fey had freshened up in the ladies' room and returned to watch the end of the game. "Ah, you win, Quinn! [i]Félicitations[/i]!" she cooed cheerfully and finished off her drink.

At least there were open seats to join in. "100 credits now, [i]oui[/i]? I believe I can be brave enough for that."

"No letting me earn my money back, eh?" His tone turning slimey and dangerous. "I can resbect your tenacity, hubman." He nods. "100 credits, then."

"Well I don't know... all these people are leaving. I think maybe it's too much money. Maybe we should go back to the 50 credits buy-in, so more people will play?"

The man looks on as you said it. "Hmm...right." There is a pause, his gaze clearly on you, despite the helmet covering up all of his eyes. "Go again, then?"

The others at the table who decided to stick around seem frustrated at their luck and leave in the table, leaving it open for new people to take their posts.
